Flames were all about him. He could feel the energy within, one with his blood. Images of the great cities of Britannia flickered within his mind. They enveloped him, licking and burning his body. The flames cleared, the half breed looked down at his robes, which now shone dark red, with a orangish tint. The images shifted, the city before him became even more recognizable. Magicinia...

Drayden woke with a jump that almost caused him to tumble out of the bed. he was drenched in sweat, his pulse was rocking him to near unconsciousness. By the Flame....that was intense

It always seemed to go this way when Drayden returned here to Britannia. Dreams, intense dreams, they never seemed to cease. This had to mean something. The wizard pulled on his dark red robes, and fastened a cloak about his neck. His insignia was glowing a bright orange. Though it seemed to fade as he made his way downstairs and out of his small tower near Vesper.

The forest was quiet tonight. Drayden made sure that the locals here were well protected against the ogres, orcs and countless other creatures who had taken a liking to trapsing around his home. He had made short work of on such creature just this morning. With this thought in mind he buckled the long curved blade of his father underneath his flowing crimson robes.

Soft booted feet crunched quietly on the ground as he stepped outside. The cool night air soothed him. Though no cold could cool the Flame burning within. It was the reason he had come back, and now it seemed...the Flame was calling him to Magicinia. Of all places, the calm somewhat deserted city of magic. It seemed almost fate to him.

Something squawked to his right. The half drow's blue eyes shot in that direction, before him was the threatening figure of a harpy, set on making him a late night dinner. I don't have time for this

In almost a dismissive gesture, Drayden waved a hand, uttering some words. The bird creature shrieked and flailed around as it's body was engulfed in a pillar of flames. It fell to the ground, no chance of survival. As was the fate of most who came into this part of the forest. This image did not even phase Drayden, who had already stepped through a gate. Returning to a place he had not visited in nearly an eternity.

He stepped out of the gate. The full moon showing much of the deserted city streets. With a quick glance around he started off towards the outskirts of town. It was time.

This was the home of the Flame. He knew it now. He could feel it stronger here in this city of magic. Perhaps there was more to this place than any other had known....perhaps.
