THE VESPER MILITIA CALLS YOU!!
The Warden of Vesper, Eldan D'Ardan is calling upon all able bodied men and women to take arms in defense of our city!
This is not a regular army, everyone is free to come and go. The only agreement that must be made is that while you are working with the Militia, you will do as told. There is much evil in this world.
Because many seek to take power as they wish, the Militia is being formed to keep that from happening to our fair city. The great city of Vesper has stood quiet long enough. Together we can all protect our homes and stave the chaos bleeding into our lands!
Apply directly to Warden Eldan by messenger, pigeon or in person.
One militia! One Vesper! |

The steady glow of Vesper's city lights burned in the near distance. Peregrin stood on the balcony of the Double Dagger, taken in the crisp ocean breeze. He raised the spyglass to his good eye, scanning the night for signs of the Blackmarket ships making thier way into the Vesper Harbor. He caught a brief silhouette of a frigate, than a few quick flashes of a lantern on it's deck.
"Ollo!" he yeld over the crowd, "Our shipment has arrived. Marco can tend the bar. Get your coat."
Ollo nodded a 'yes'. Grabbed his coat and familiar Lute.
A brief ride later and they were at the Vesper docks. Peregrin secured the shipment of illegal Trinsic Ale and Yew Merlot, paying the privateers hansomely for their troubles.
They were making thier way to the local Sirah Syndicate safe house to store the goods, when they came across the flyer.
"Intresting," Peregrin muttered.
"Wha'z it say?" Ollo asked.
"Nothing to be concerned with, Ollo. Just local political propaganda. Something about a Milita."
Ollo's interest seemed to peek.
"Don't let your imagination get the best of you. Evermoore is near enough to your beloved Vesper. The Blood Knights of the Stone would be sure to come to the aid of the city, if it was needed. Keep your Lute and bardic tales at the Double Dagger and you will continue to profit. A milita has no need for someone of your talents." Peregrin said trying to be convincing.
He knew it fell on deaf ears. Ollo's elven wonderlust would be sure to take over. If Peregrin couldn't appeal to the barkeepers greed, he would have to persude him with the secruity that Evermoore offered.
"If it's all right with you sire, I'll spend the remainder of the night in Vesper. I'll return in the mourn to help Marco with the cleaning." Ollo said passively.
Peregrin smirked and nodded.
This isn't gonna be the last I hear of this. He thought to himself.
Peregrin made his way back to Evermoore, leaving Ollo staring at the flyer attempting to make out the symbols.
"Damn, old fool. Can't read or write, can barely wield his kitchen knife. Now he wants to be a Hero." Peregrin said to the night. |
