Drayden Calamyr. Son of a drow Mage known as Alaundril Do'Rhett and Elinal'ha Calamyr. Aluandril was all the that remained of the House of Do'Rhett, the infighting reaching his house, and like any self respecting Arch-Mage he fled. His mother was an outcasted elven mage knight. Elinal'ha was banished from her homeland not long after meeting Alaundril, because of the love she held for the man.

Alaundril fled to an isolated island. South of Moonglow, where the winds of magic were strong. He built his home there on that island, and thus is where the story of Drayden begins.

Both of his parents were Mages of great power and the mixing of elven and drow blood was something forbidden. This laid the road for young Drayden to become something unseen in the past. A hybrid breed of elf.
As a young elf, he looked much like his mother, his skin was fairly light as compared to his father's obsidian skin. And his eyes were a deep sapphire blue.

Drayden spent the first 1/4 of his life on this island, primarily raised by his mother. His father was always off doing things that one might find wrong, so Drayden surmised. There were many late nights when Alaundril would teleport to his home and hide his wife and son. From what, Drayden never found out.

When Drayden was able to truly utilize the arcane arts, his father started assisting him in the ways. Teaching him the subtlties and ways that different magics were used. When young Drayden was not practicing his art, he was reading of history and lore. His mind eager to learn of the world he had not seen off this island. Alaundril taught his son the tactics of the Drow and their history. In the last years of his time with his father, Alaundril revealed that he worked secretly with a small group of drow. They appearantly came from below the deserts. This was part of Drayden as well.

Tragedy struck however, shortly after his 1st century of life, he walked into his father's study. Drayden found him face down on the stone desk, blood stained the pages of the open book. Driven into the base of his skull was a dagger, one holding the shape of a scorpion. The next day, his mother sent him away to the city of Moonglow, so he may further his learning and be kept safe from his father's would be assassin. Alaundril's teachings would not be forgotten to the young half drow.

Drayden never saw his mother again after that fateful day. He was lost in the island city of Moonglow. His mind craved more knowledge of the world, secretly his soul craved the power that only magic could give. It was his love from that point on. Drayden had been with women, but none pleasured him more than the power of the arcane rippling through his soul.

As the decades passed by, Drayden learned much. He served many times as a diplomat and as a soldier. Quickly Drayden learned who the enemies were and who the allies were. His isolated upbringing gifted him with indifference and tolerance to other races. Not raised by the hatred of his drow kin, nor the benevolence of his elven kin.

It was for this reason that he founded an Order which followed the teachings of the Flame. The only book he took, and that was left of his father's library. Written ages ago by a human known as Therian Narshan. He hoped to bring balance to the world through this Order. Though within Drayden raged an internal battle. A battle that would need to be decided at some point in his life. Without balance in himself, his Order failed. Torn by the very ones who claimed to revere the Flame.

After the fall of his Order, and the passing of his 300th century of life he wandered the lands, meeting an elf that would ultimately change the purpose and direction Drayden took in the future.
