Zeth walked from Umbra his meeting with Merci had gone about like

he had thought it would. She was unwilling to even listen to what he

was saying. It had turned into her lecturing him on his betrayal of

Umbra.
Zeth walked from Umbra all the way to his new home. For the first

time in his life he felt good. Merci was right he had chosen his family

over a Land but in doing so he had gained so much more.
Zeth Left the Shifters Den and headed to the spot he now spent alot of

time in. Once there he stripped down to the waist. He lit the tourches

and placed them on the rocks once in the center of the circle he fell to

his knees, putting his face to the ground he closed his eyes.
"Mother It will take time, I now see what my purpose is and I will get it

done but it will take time." Zeth whispered into the soil.
Zeth stayed in that position for what felt like hours the he stood and

moved over to the grass it was so inviting and he felt onto his back in

the lush grass and rubbed like a young pup. He rolled in the grass until

its fresh scent covered his entire body.
Sitting up words that Merci had spoken came to him. He did not feel

he was better than any other race on this world, not at all. But unlike

the others he was here to protect this world from its inhabitance. All of

a sudden the whole picture fell into place.
Zeth all of a sudden under stood why he had been lead to Umbra in

the first place. It was to learn. And learn alot he did in Umbra. It all fell

into place the teaching of Ceinwyn had been a lesson he had needed

to learn in order to fulfill his duty to Gaia. Balance had to be

maintained neither the light nor the dark can prevail for with out one

there can not be the other. With out the balance between light and

dark the world would spin out of control and cease to exsist.
Zeth turned his face towards the moons of Sosaria and howled. It

was a sound of praise that could be heard thur out luna and probally

sanctus as well.
Zeth knew what had to be done and it was up to him to make it

happen It would not be easy as he had found out earlier tonight there

would be those who have grown to complacent at being ruled by the

humans and others. But he knew that there would be those who would

embrace his ideals and if not Join his pack at least stand for the same

goals as they did.

Her meeting with Zeth had surprised her really, after all he had once believed in, all that he had once fought for he had thrown it away.

Merci was surprised at how fickle Zeth was, how he could claim loyalty one moment and turn on that loyalty in the next.

She told him that his ideals had become much like the Lightbringers ideals, if you were not part of his race, then you were not fit to exist. A Matriarch could not be this way, there were many varied types in Umbra, she embraced the diversity of the land. It was how you behaved that made you who and what you are. A pair of fangs, a few claws that made you an animal, it was your strength and holding to your ideals that made you who you are.

She was a Lycan, but even more than that she was Merci, who fought for her own ideals and for the land and Matriarch she served, and she would never, never turn her back on that.

Zeth was upset because Merci would not betray Umbra, as he did. Being a Lycan wasnt enough for her to jump on the bandwagon of whatever cause he felt was more important. What was important was the fealty she swore, and the people that depended on her to uphold it.
