Mages, you can teleport to a place like doom, run far away from the pet and wait for it to be far from the moongate...
And run back to the moongate, go through and dispel the gate.

hehehehe, ask anyone in MTC. I have this horrible penchant for rping with anything, including things that are supposed to be annoying. The librarians in the lyceum who tell me to shhhh, Inu. In fact, the last time, I ended up making friends with the guy with the pet, because I brought out my squirrel to play chase with his.
