The Order had not long ago disbanded. A disappointment, to say the least, but not so much because of it being gone, but that they had been a disappointment to her period. They had at least helped her grow strong as a Drow and a necromancer, but had benefited her in no other way than making her feel like more of a slave. They had made her feel like she had never left her home, and it angered her. Now though, she felt lost. The Order had at least provided her with a means of entertainment and accomplishment, even if only for a short while. She had to decide now where she would go, and what she would do.

Finally making her way through most of Malas, she came across the golden walls of Luna. She stared up at them in disgust.
"Paladins, always thinking that they are so much better than others, even if they do not outright admit to it." She thought to herself.
She walked inside the city, the discontent on her face growing even more as she walked by the peddlers selling their wares and screaming out to anyone who went by by. She could not help but snarl at a few of them, and was pleased when some stepped back, fear on their face.
She finally came face to face with one of the paladins in the city, her eyes glowing red as she listened to him preach of the Light, and how it would save everyone. She could not help but laugh at him loudly, and laughed even more when he turned to her with anger.
"You disrespect me by laughing at what I teach." He said to her.
She laughed again at him, "You are a fool. You all are. You think the Light will save you from death or from anything for that matter? You house yourself inside these golden walls, but I would be willing to bet that none of you would last a moment outside them and in front of a real foe."
She turned away from him and began walking towards the gates of the city to leave. Just as she was nearing the gates, she stopped suddenly and looked back. A small smirk played across her face.
"That is it. I will show them that their magic and their Light is not immune to even the darkest of evils. I will corrupt it into my own and make it work for me, and use it to destroy this world and the people in it who do not deserve to be here."

Months and years had went by quickly. She had taken her time learning the ways of Chivalry so that she could fully understand it and know just where to begin in her task to corrupt the paladin's magic. She gritted her teeth every day as she listened to them teach on about the Light and how wonderful it was. She wanted to just wrap her fingers around their necks and squeeze the last breath out of them. But she could not. She had to remain calm and keep her true self hidden as best she could.
She would often times sneak off during the night to find a group of gypsies or other vagabonds and torture them until they either died from the torture itself, or died of fear. It helped to keep her going to have their innocent blood on her hands, and always kept her smiling at least for a few days. She went through many clothes this way though due to being unable to walk back inside the city covered in blood. It would raise too many questions. Questions that could lead to her being found out and ruin her entire plan.
After years of what seemed the most horrendous torture to her, she finally thought that she knew as much as she needed and at this point, as much as she wanted to. It was time to put her plan into motion. The next step was to find other's who might possibly be able to aid her. She knew she could not do it alone, but with the Order gone, she had no idea who would be best to help her. She had spent so much time with the paladins that she had lost track of a good majority of the outside world and what was happening.
She packed up her belongings, as few as they were, and went off to see her teacher. She found him in his office looking over some papers and books. He looked up to her with such a big smile it almost made her stomach turn from his obvious happiness to see her. She had been one of his prized pupils, if only he knew what he had done or what was about to happen, he would be cowering in fear right now. She walked up next to him, and looked him straight in the eyes. Her eyes glowing a dark red. She had been careful to keep her true identity a secret for so long. She had gone so far as to dye her hair, and keep her temper to a minimum so that her color remained a normal shade of blue, although they always held a small tint of red. She slowly ran her fingers through her hair. As her fingers glided through her hair, it turned from a dark brown to a silvery white. She tucked it behind her ears, revealing her pointed ears.
Watching his face, she could not help but laugh as he tried to back away from her in his chair only to be stopped by the wall behind him. She walked in front of him, leaning down towards him, her face only inches from his.
"Dear Teacher, I have come to thank you for your knowledge and bid you one final farewell. You have benefited me greatly in my quests. I hope for your sake, your so called 'Light' can redeem you for your mistakes. A pity too, to see someone as intelligent and handsome as you are following such a foolish notion. I could have used you for a pleasurable play toy."
Before he could utter a single word, she had taken her small dagger and slid it across his throat. She watched as his eyes stared at her wide, but with no life left in them. The blood from the cut seeped down his neck. Sliding a finger through the blood, she brought it to her lips, licking it slowly and grinning. She leaned closer to him, and pressed her lips against his hard for a short moment, leaving a small bit of his own blood on his lips before she turned to walk out the door. She could not help but give a small laugh as she thought of what she had done and what she was about to do. |
