Olath son of Talabafea, his Drow father, and Nessa, his Elven mother, was born in the Heartwood. His father was an Arcanist and mage, using his magical strength to help protect and prolong the life of Sosaria. His mother was a scribe, spending most of her time teaching her son how to read and write in both Elven and English.

Olath spent his younger years in school or reading. Sitting for hours studying one piece of literature until it was completely ingrained into his mind, and then systematically moving to the next book within his small home library. For years Olath was fascinated with the art of magic, when his father caught word that Olath was attempting to summon a magic arrow and ended up setting his bedroom floor on fire, he decided it would be better to teach Olath how to use magic properly then to try and learn it on his own from tombs, beginning Olath's journey in the arts of magery, the study of reagents and their uses, and how to focus his mind to use the magical force of Mana. As he trained under his father, his mother showed him how to take the spells he was learning from his father and turn them into a magical scroll possessing the power of a specific spell. Olath's life centered around magic as he began to mature and grow wiser within the Heartwood, then one day Olath left his simple existence in search of something with substance and meaning. He was in search of a reason, a reason for his hours of studying, a reason for writing, a reason for his connection with nature and the magical pool of Mana.

Olath gathered what little possessions belong to him and left. Not because he was running from an evil home, a ruthless father and a sleeper of a mother, his parents were none of these, he left because he could feel something pulling him. He could feel it when he was meditating, he would feel a beacon of power attempting to draw him near. Olath explained what he was feeling to his mother and father, both of whom tried to persuade him to stay in the Heartwood and continue to help Sosaria live. Yet Olath would have nothing to do with it, he felt that his abilities were needed somewhere else. Even if it was not a better living, he knew what he needed to do, and he did it.

Olath took his first steps in the world of Sosaria when he was exactly 100 year of age. He then spent 5 years in search of this beacon of power, 5 years searching from Yew to the dungeon of Deceit on Ice Island, from Jhelom to Serpent’s Hold, he continued to search. Until one day he traveled through the moongate outside of Britain and in to the realm of Luna. Within a month Olath had joined the ranks of the City of Light known as Sanctus. He knew within moments of setting foot in the town and speaking with the individuals that resided there, that this was the powerful pull he'd been feeling. This is where he felt he needed to be.

And that is where you will find Olath to this day, now a proud owner of a home within the city limits and knighted under the King himself. Olath has lived within Sanctus for more than 2 years now, but for some time he returned to the Heartwood. Mostly to speak with his father and mother about his new life, but also to learn from his father the art of Spellweaving. Spellweaving had never interested Olath until a short time ago when he was meditating amongst the pixies just west of his home and felt he was missing a part of his ancestors. Now adept in the art of Spellweaving, a master of magic and a brilliantly knowledgeable mind, Olath lives in humble tranquility within Sanctus.
