When the Warriors Sanctum became empty Ashford Yendorin, watching his nephew ride away to find his past, had not a place to stay...His close friends from Yew would never understand, but you never reach an age where you have seen it all. As a self professed historian and philospher the one thing he spoke much on in books he submitted to the libraries across Sosaria was the principles and values and how through proper diplomacy they can be utilized as a weapon to make treaty. Looking back...Ashford had never visited every Shrine across Sosaria to fairly put in ink his philosphy. So, at the age of 63, Ashford set out on his most life changing moment. In the past 4 years Ashford visited every single Shrine. His journal entries for each write some of the most inspirational words based purely on what he witnessed with his own eyes. Some entries you just might find entering your bookshelf soon enough.

Ashford learned of Jeren Yendorin's return upon reading a parchment posted in Yew about his appointment to Chief Magistrate of Jhelom. It was at that moment he traveled south. Ashford reunited with his nephew and soon after visited Lord Kain Elderan. Lord Kain Elderan was an old friend of Ashford when he worked at the Britain Library long ago. When Ashford left Kain Elderan was running for Chief Justice in Yew. Sitting around Kain's fireplace opened his eyes to Sosaria and where it stood today. Lord Kain had explained to Ashford that he was beginning the Heralds of the Awakening. Ashford had heard many old stories of the Heralds from many old friends of Yew 4 years back. After a few stories came up over some blended ale Lord Kain simply asked Ashford that he would be honored to have him submit an essay to become a fellow Sage under the banner of the Reawakening.

The evening Ashford left and travelled to the Warriors Sanctum just north of the Shrine of Sacrifice....passing the Shrine made clear of Ashford's entire purpose, his entire life.
