It was there. She could feel it. The energy. The excitment. The way Tarothin spoke and carried himself; very proud, sure of himself, & determined. He was at his cutest at these times and Ditto so enjoyed him like this. It was the soldier side of him ofcourse. The way she had met him a few years ago. There was going to be another great battle starting up,but this time it seemed different somehow. More direct. More focused. And it was going to be soon.
She'd been avoiding the battlefields of Luna lately, because of the baby and Tarothin wanting her safe. Ditto giggled....Safe. If anything, she'd been in more danger trying to be "safe". The many intrigues and secrets she had stumbled into lately, seemed to have put her life & that of the baby's at great risk. The guard Tarothin wanted her to have with her when she traveled were wonderful friends that she trusted, but they too were soldiers, and so, were away for battles. To help and try to accomodate this, Ditto spoke with a couple of her "shadow" friends in the OTD. Although, not fighters or guards themselves, they could watch for danger and alert those needing to know quickly. That would just have to do. The only alternative would be to lock herself up in Tarothin's home like a prisoner. That was out of the question. Although pretending to be his prisoner some night when he was home might be fun, she thought, grinning to herself.
This battle coming up...how long it would last, who was involved, the details did not concern her. The only thing that concerned her about it was that she HAD to be there. And she would be, even if she had to defy Tarothin himself. She would show him that she would be by his side, supporting him and loving him with every shouted order and with every swing of his blade. She would see it all, win or lose.
