Night was coming.

With it's coming, came the sweet smells of the twilight forest and early stirrings of the nocturnal creatures.

Just after the sun yawned, stretched and finally went to bed, there was this most wonderful shade of blue that began to appear in the sky...as well as some of the bolder stars.

But, the best thing twilight brought....was the moon! Oh, that glorious Moon!

Emma looked up into the deepening blue of the sky. Her eyes searched eagerly for that beautiful orb of light, just like she did every night, and there it was! A disc of brightly polished silver hanging in the warmth of the spring night air.

Her spirits lifted as she swung her leg over the length of her broom stick and kicked off from the ground with an exuberant shout. What a wonderful night it was! Emma loved the feeling of the spring air against her skin and the warm wind streaming through her hair. Even so, she was glad of the warmth of her long cloak. Spring has sprung, but the night air did still tend to get a bit chilly.

Flying was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, especially now that she had her own broom.

Her broom was one of a kind, not another like it! Made of ash, straight as an arrow, with the finest hand picked straw to guide it in flight, her broom was going to be a source of so much joy for her.

Now that the long cold nights were over, well, for another year that is...she was looking forward to flying it often.

One by one, the rest of the stars peeked out into the deepening sapphire sky, while the moon sailed serenely across a newly begun canvas of evening.

She arrived home way past midnight. Riding through the bright celestial sky with all the wonders of the night coming out, seemingly for her alone, took up more time than she thought.

She climbed into her big soft feather bed, laid her head on the large fluffy pillow and slid into sleep with a smile on her face.

In her dreams, the moon and stars danced with her once more.[align=center]
