Created an "Atlantic Rp Community" chat to test stuff out.

Can access the chat channels via the chat menu button.
Type , then a space to chat - Testing this out. Not sure what the details are as far as when the channel is disolved, etc. However this could be a REALLY good advertising way for the community. So those interested in learning to RP can hop in the channel, ask questions etc. I'm not sure what the permieters are for using it, but if someone sees this message please pop in to the channel so we can test the functionality.

The menu bar. You need to make sure it isn't disabled in the options(mouse tab). Hit Chat and it lists channels. Not even sure if it shows up for others, but I created the channel

I spoke to Yasa via the channel! Appears to be working and I can log out and so far the channel has stayed there.
I managed to get the channel created quick enough that we are on the front opening page. They are planning to redo the gump, so who knows then, but at least for now the channel appears to be front page *crosses fingers*

Thinking this might actually be a useful addition to assist the community with? Cause if not I'd rather just keep chat off and continue cursing the makers for bringing it into existance...

Ok don't think I'm just being a ditz here but...how do you make a chat post ingame? I know how to do party, alliance, and guild, but chat is eluding me.

I personally think it'll be useful in the fact it'll foster a stronger sense of community and give potential new rpers another way to gain more info about the rp community.

Had turned the menu back on, and joined the right channel...saw the chat coming up but could not find a way to talk in it. Thank you!

It resets and disappears at server down. I created an "ARPC" one for the day and it is on the front page, too.

Very cool. I stopped in and recognized...nobody! Nice to see it there though. I hadn't opened the chat in...mmm...years.

A few weeks ago, I tried to get the old chat system to not be totally useless and to see if it could be a feasible system. I kinda failed. But now they revamped the chat system?!

Coincidence?!

....probably. But that won't stop me from taking credit anyway!

*bumps* I'd like to say thank you to the person or people who have been making the chat room. I've been up early enough a couple times (or late enough) after server up, but most of the time when I'm up in the morning someone has already done it. Please, please keep it up. This channel if we can keep it going can really be a way for folks to get information about rp. I know I saw several random people popping in and asking about rp and getting information.

This is a good thing for us! Let's keep it up!

Yes, the chat system definitely draws in fresh blood. Awesome idea for the RP channel, Ariana.

I just also would like to say, be careful who you give information out to. Last night, there was an old griefer/PKer who was in the chat trying to find out about the community. This fellow is Dragkiris, and he was bad enough to make our ARPC warning list. I'd like to remind GMs to look it over before guilding new faces, just to make sure the people they guild are not on the lists.
