I would like to see each city or organization be able to post a public bounty against other people for any reason whatsoever. This would allow the creation of "bounty hunters" in the community, and give some new dynamics. Maybe this could be a subforum on the Messenger's Log or something. I don't know. But I'm throwing this out there.

You'd put up...

Wanted Person:
Method of Aggression: (kill, capture, etc)
Reward:

The rewards would have to be legitimate, so if someone does this, you'll have to pay up for it. This would be limited to ARPC members and guilds only. That is, you can only put a bounty up if you are a member, and you can only be the victim of a bounty if you are member.

Personally, I like it. Could also use it for something besides aggressive purposes. Like trying to track someone down for a meeting and you don't know how else to do it. Works a little better than the old "I am sending a letter out into the world that I am sure you'll just happen to find." or the old favorite "A pigeon finds you in the middle of the wilderness and 5 levels down in the dungeon of Shame."

And then there is all the good old fashioned bounties. Just as long as we make sure this is played right. RP and all that should exist, no KOSing of a bounty even if they are wanted "Dead" (probably there should never be a bounty that just wants them "dead". Should at least be "dead or alive") and that sort of thing so we don't have community hit squads blasting various people for perceived slights, either IC or OOC "just because".

It has the potential for fun, but also the potential for trouble if not used/enacted/regulated properly.

I think it is a great idea, I think it was said already but we would have to be careful how we RP it.

Why not make it KOS so long as the 'Wanted' knows it beforehand. Think on the places you'd have to avoid or the people you'd have to duck. I think having a KOS order out on a character would be exciting!
