Would anyone be able to give me a brief overview of what has happened since June/July? What guilds are alive? Who is at war with who? Where and when are the RP hot spots?

I finally have UO installed on a computer and while it may be just dial up for now, it will work for role play... I hope...

I think all the same guilds are running.. Blackmarsh is an actual guild now, with soldiers and a really awesome butter churning girl.
Stonegate and the Empire of Tokuno (Blue Lotus, Iron Lotus) are now allied. I cant remember when that happened, so I have no clue if it was before June/July.
Stonegate just took part of Luna, and Blackmarsh just took part of Yew.
Those are the only guilds I know about since I am involved in them, haha..
