So, I'm hoping by this point, everyone has had a chance to explore the ARPC Wiki. If you haven't, please check it out. It's an amazing resource, but only if you use it.

Wikis are by definition, user created and defined. I am a great lover of Wikis and have fallen in love using them as character resources in MMO RP situations.

A couple things you can do to make the wiki better:

User Page - Fill one out for yourself. Use it as a place for a profile for the OOC player. Put links in it to your characters and your stories. When i was playing CoX, I became part of a wiki there that was amazing because of the amount of things there for the players to learn about the people they RP'd with. My user page there. It;'s a great way to showcase your talents and your characters.

Speaking of your characters...

Your character page - Fill it out! I'm not just talking about basics. Look at the bottom of Dealth's page, and you'll see a host of links to fiction I wrote...that I'm porting to the wiki to keep it, even after the boards are purged. Do the same, especially if the fiction was character defining. A good format, at your character page just type a / and the name of the story, the Wiki will create a new page. Put the story there and save!

Make sure to use Category Tags Stories, user pages, character histories...use those tags! It makes tyour stuff easier to cataloge, read and be accessed by the rest of the community.

The Wiki is an incredibly invaluable tool for the community, I've spent countless hours adding features that this community specifically would be able to take advantage of as well as modifying them for ease of use.

If you've ever thought about donating money to the site, save the cash and start posting to the Wiki instead. I have enough money, I feed off the stories (and souls) of the community, and until PayPal offers up the transfer of ones immortal essence, stories and histories will have to do.

I was looking around and making a page for a character when I came across something that kind of surprised me.

The Slaughter of Stonegate

I wrote that like... a couple years ago. Someone must have submitted it here, though I have no idea who. Not that I mind. Just figured nobody would remember that, nor remember that I ever wrote anything regarding it. When I re-read it now, though, I kick myself a bit because my writing was not as good back then and I see a number of ways to make it better! Well, whoever posted my story, thanks!

Hey, I just finished my Wiki post and noticed not a lot of folks have added their characters. Maybe if the admins sticky this or something *poke poke* folks can remember to add stuff as they build characters. its easy and lots of fun. I hope ya'll enjoy!
