The grey wolf set on his haunches beside the lake. It was his normal place now. No sound, not even those of nature could be heard. there was no breeze. No smells either. Only the lake and the dense fog that absured his vision. Ten feet in all direction around him there was that cursed fog. All but over the lake. It didnt matter how far or how long he walked, he was still in the same place. Surrounded by the fog.
He was neither cold nor hot. There was no feeling of the grass under his feet, The last thing he remembered feeling was the ice cold lips of Merci's pressed to his.
Zeth sat as his wolf form waiting for them to appear. He had no sense of time but things now seemed to run in cycles, people in his life appeared out of the mist. They came to either torment or console him for a time then they vanished back into the mist. Only to return some time later to repeat the cycle. Over and over he would watch them come and go.

The lake ripped, tiny waves washed up to the shore. Zeth peered out onto its surface. A wolf was walking across the surface of the water. Its redish colored fur was almost as familar to Zeth as his own. The female wolf stepped onto dry land and trotted over to him. She playfully nipped at his ear in a form of greeting. Then unlike before she sat down beside him, Her shoulder touching his. Zeth turned his head to look at her, she did not return his stare yet kept looking straight out over the lake. Zeth followed her stare. out on the water he could see another. A smaller wolf making its way towards the shore. It reached the shore and took its place beside Zeth. Then a small female wolf appeared on the water her fur had almost a pinkish hue to it. Zeth felt himself smile as she approached and took her spot beside her brother. Two figures appeared on the lake walking towards the gathering they were holding hands. They also took up their spots, Dani standing behind Zeth and Zetmorn behind Dae. Zeths family was almost complete. Then a figure appeared far out on the water. Zeth was hopeful to get to see the son he had lost many years ago again. But this was a human and as they got closer Zeth could see who it was.
Zandria not sure where she fit in in all this stood a little distance to one side. Dae watched her closely as she had approached. A small growl had escaped from Zari as she watched Zandria come ashore.

As one, and in the blink of an eye the MelGair pack attacked. The wolves Dae, Zethmorn, Zari. The fae Dani and Zetmorn all attacked Zandria. Zeth could do nothing but watch as his family tore his creation apart. When it was done. The MelGairs each stepped infront of Zeth.

As if they were speaking as one Zeth heard, " YOU KNOW WHAT MUST BE DONE!"

Each of the MelGairs took their turn in saying goodbye to Zeth. Dae had to nudge Zari out of the way for she did not want to go. Dae's words where clear and powerful. and gripped Zeth by the heart

" You sir, are the MelGair. You are better than this." Her words cut deep into him as she spoke. "Remember your pack, All of them, remember your friends. Look at what they have done for you and how you repaid them."

Zeth caught movement out of the corner of his eye. Looking around he saw his friends.

Myrddin, Merci, Willow, Feyln all stood looking over at Zeth.

For the first time in a long time Zeth felt ashamed, He looked down at the remains of his creation then to those he betrayed to create her. Then to his family.

A lone lonely howl peirced the silence of his dreams.
