During an impromptu picnic...

"If you do this, I'll take your cure." Sarker said evenly.

"You won't if I don't agree to it?" Felyn asked, her jaw clenching.

"Why would I want to spend eternity with a wife who doesn't respect me?" Sarker replied with a hint of sadness.

Felyn's thoughts raced. All of her hard work, just to keep this Human alive, was about to be for nothing. What an ungrateful little twit! Fine, let him be like the rest of his kind! Humans die so soon after they're born, they may as well not live at all!

Felyn stopped her mental rant, feeling a terrible ache in her chest. Just the idea of Sarker growing old and dying made her feel sick. She had already failed him, both as a Matron and a wife. He deserved better. But what he was asking of her...

To relinquish her dominance.

Why the hell do I want to take this cure so I can watch you play with that fracking Drow all the time? Why the hell do I want to live forever in the first place? All my friends will die and I'll be stuck watching my wife flaunt with the line between her friends being dead friends. How many men am I going to have to kill just to keep her attention? A lot less if I don't live forever...Time to take over...

Waiting for her to acquiesce he was already planning the lessons to come.
Either I teach her respect, devotion, and discipline or...I kill one more man before leaving.

He smiled to himself and began by putting his name back on her head.
