That's a little peeve of mine too...also its and it's, though that is in my mind more confusing thus more forgivable.

But I have to agree, there is much to be said for punctuation. Editing is also very important, because something could be correct in spell check though be the completely wrong word. For example the other night I wrote something that should have read 'want' but I'd accidentally typed 'ant'.

Writing up a huge, poorly put together atrocity filled with run-on sentences and no coherency, hitting submit, and not looking back should be criminal!
