One of the greatest hurdles seems to be learning some of the backstories.... so many of you have rp'd here off and on for years, and it is extremely difficult for many of us to step in and feel as though we actually belong. I am not alone in feeling this. I am aware I may be more sensitive to this than others.
I am most interested in seeing if there is some way we can clearly show family/guild relationships. Something that people can look at and make some sense of the intertwinings.
I am up for discussing this or whatever it may take to make this happen. Also, would like to have an opportunity to have open discussions regarding making people feel welcome in the arpc.
Count me in. and thanks....... _________________ "I'll get you, Dorothy, and your little dog too!" L. Frank Baum |

I would say that it just takes time and digging to learn about all the great events that have happened over the years, both IC and OOC.
I started a historical timeline for IC events during my time as a GM. It contained things that happened as far back as Smogg Azalin and OES and Stormwind. It remains incomplete and unfinished, but I am willing to take the project back up and put it up for reference. I will need to have information about important events that happened and when they occurred. Is there any interest in having something like this? Tell me and I will complete it.
I must add though (like I typically do) that there are drawbacks of having personal family information posted for all to see. As a roleplayer, one must keep in mind that information learned via forum is not learned IC, unless it is in the form of mail delivered to them specifically. Reading up on family lines you have taken an interest in is wonderful, but you wouldn't be able to use such knowledge learned about someone else's character in this manner in your RP. So please make sure that newer roleplayers are aware of such. |
