Martin Willow sat in the sand of Trinsic's Barrier Island. The morning sun was just beginning to break over the horizon, and the tide was slowly coming in. Laying back on the sand, he stared up into the brightening sky, and thought back over what had happened the past few weeks....
His departure from the Regency had dominated his thoughts a great deal, and he'd spoken to several people about what he planned to do. But it all predicated on how people responded...

Looking down at the pristine sand, Martin then walked over to the brush farther away from the beach, and aquired a short stick. Returning, he drew a fairly large rectangle in the sand, moving a good distance up the beach and back. Then he attempted, with some degree of success, to draw a vague outline of Britannia inside the rectangle.
"So this is why I'm not an artist..." he mused to himself, mutilating, erasing, retrying and mutilating again his attempts at a rendition of the southern tip of the main continent, before giving up and going with a simple peninsula. Adding in the islands of the realm, Martin concluded his artistic masterpiece by adding small circles at the sites of various groups' Headquarters.

Looking at each, he started with Trinsic, drawing a small "F" into the circle, for friendly. Walking out into his "ocean", Martin put a big "E" in the Magincia circle, for enemy. He started to underline it, stopped and looked at the island for a time, then stomped once on an open area within it's borders, leaving a satisfying footprint. Wandering "North" on his map, Martin notched a big "U" for unkown on Moonglow, and paused at Nujel'm.

Thinking back to his last Regency meeting, Martin recalled Queen Sarah's steadfast support of Rufus, and his own annoyance at it. In retrospect, she was understandibly supporting her husband, just as a wife should. Had he been in her spot, he would have supported Molly. Hell, she had supported him in his motions without queston. Shrugging, Martin etched a "F" into Nujel'm's circle.

Walking then to the mainland and Vesper, Martin put a "F" in its circle as well. Having only rarely spoken to Lady Lia L, he had still formed a fair opinion of her, and felt confident in his letter choice. Minoc and Cove, based on the few reports he had been recieving, were still fairly disputed territorys, so for the time being, Martin placed a "C" for Chaotic in their circles. Britain, without a active leadership to his knowlage, recieved a "U", though in Stormhaven, while it was still rebuilding, he placed a "F" in.

A crash caught Martin's attention then, and he turns to see that the tide had risen a great deal while he worked. Infact, Moonglow, Ice Island, and Magincia had just been sweapt out to sea! Frantically, he sprinted across his "ocean" and placed an invisable magic wall across the Eastern border of his map. Hastily rebuilding the islands that had been washed away, he redrew their designations, not hesitating on Nujel'm, and even taking the time to again stomp on Magincia once.

Returning the to mainland then, Martin chuckled as he fiegned easily stepping over the mountains that seperate Britain from Yew. Once arriving in Yew, he marked an "F" in its circle as well. Yew had always been a friend, and dispite the recent ruling on the Dark Awakening issue, he still considered them as such. Skare Brea recieved a "U", for as far as Martin knew, no one was currently trying to run the city.

Walking "South" on his map, Martin stopped and looked at the Swamps where Ncr was located. "Who knows...." He said to himself, grinning and kneeling down infront of what represented Trinsic. Amusing himself for a time, Martin dug a small ditch infront of a little wall of sand, and built his wall all the way around the city, leaving only a spot for the Main Gate and Smuggler's Gate open. He was once again interrupted as the waves invaded his map from the north, around the invisable wall, and washed away part of Ice Island.

Placing a barrier at the "Norhtern" and "southern" ends of his map, Martin outlined the lost section of Ice Island with his toe, then wandered down to the southern islands of Britannia. A small "U" was left in Jhelom, and on one side of Serpants Hold Martin wrote a "F" with OSS next to it, and on the other side, another "F" with an "R" for the Regency. He then stood up and scanned his creation.

"Its a shame I don't remember every group... but I suppose I can always come back...I'll probably need to update and change this soon, in any case."

Leaving a magic invisable wall on the western border as well, dispite it being well above the tide level, Martin commited what he had done so far to memory as best he could, and turned to return to Trinsic with the intent of recording his artistic creation for later use.

The map reminded late into the day, long after Martin had gone, clearly visable to anyone who passed by, due to its isolation during high tide within his invisable walls, but untouchable by the gently brush of the ocean.

Taking a stroll in Trinsic, Isilmea came across a strange drawing in the sand as she mumbled to herself, “ Someone is a bad artist.” She tilted her head left and right looking at it when the drawing started to resemble a sand drawn map of Britannia.

Isilmea sat down to study the drawing to attempt to make some understanding of it and pondering on whom might have drawn it. It became clear to her that it was a map of areas and she pondered some more on what the –U-, F, and other letters might mean. “ Hmmm, F could mean friendly… there seems to be an F where Yew might be and U for where Maginica might be… U…ugly? Mark is rather ugly human but…” A look of understanding filled her face. “ Oh! I get it! U is for unfriendly and this must be Maginica.”

She chuckled to herself as she picked up a near by stick and erased Maginica from the sand-drawn map. “ There, that is much better.” She chuckled to herself as she rose up and continued on her walk wondering who the artiest was.

Luckily Arieus had stabled his Swamp Dragon, or the trip to Brittain may have resulted in a six footed mess upon the map he saw below. From his steed, he looked down upon the drawing and its symbols. He shook his head and sighed at the splintering thus poorly drawn visage of groups now no longer united. He noted the map with earnest and it perhaps being important, and smirked slightly at the scratching upon one of the cities. Keeping in mind the map, did The Grand General continue, hence south to Brittain for an ale. Along the path, in his mind, he secured the scene previously witnessed in the sands for later strategic, tactical use, if need be.
