Staring across the frozen landscape, Enoch could see Keep Armunn in the distance. The weather was unrelenting as usual, but the cold no longer bothered him. It had been many months since he had last been in contact with the brothers and sisters of The Dark Order, though he was unsure just how many. He rarely saw the sun or bothered to keep track of the time anymore. There no longer seemed to be any point in worrying about such trivial things.

Turning away from his view of the keep, Enoch descended a long flight of stone steps, retreating from the light back into the dark halls he had become so accustomed to in recent times. As he walked he contemplated the events that had led him to be where he was now. He had left many things behind to pursue the next stages of his ascension, but there was nothing in this world he was not willing to sacrifice for his own goals. He could feel the time approaching when he would rejoin the forces of The Dark Order and once again spread his message of truth across the many lands of Sosaria.

Enoch continued to reminisce as he sat down into a particularly ornate throne carved into the solid stone wall of his dwelling. It seemed so long ago now that he had stood beside the dark paladin Tarothin Armunn as they stormed the island of Occlo. He had learned so much from the necromantic experiments that followed. He had pushed his own body and indeed his very being to its limit to turn his own assistant Terra into a wraith, freeing her of her mortal coil so she could attain true beauty.

It was the promise of knowledge and power that would lead Enoch down the dark path that followed, for despite his many achievements it was clear at that time that his full potential remained untapped. There were those who could help him, and fate would have it that an old mentor had taken note of his progress. When Izrem stood before him bearing the Seed of Souls, Enoch knew the next stage of his journey had begun.
