After speaking to Bailos in Azeroth, Spawn went back to his Sanctus office to ponder the conversation with the Duke. After a few moments, there was a knock on the door.
"Enter..." commanded Spawn. The door opened and a soldier of Sanctus entered the Sheriff's office. "Yes?... what can I do for you soldier? asked Spawn.
"Sir, there was a dead man inside the Hostel today" replied the soldier.
"Oh? I trust the body was identified?" asked Spawn. The soldier just gave a mere nod. "Well? Who was it?" Spawn asked as he stood up and looked directly at the soldier.
"It was the angel called David. A man named Valkor murdered him I believe sir" replied the soldier. Spawn then let out a small sigh and sat down back at his desk.
"I see... Thank you soldier... you are dismissed." said Spawn. The soldier saluted the Sheriff then walked out of his office. Spawn then took out a blank piece of parchment and a pen with ink. He slowly dipped the pen into the ink and began to write.
*************************************************************
Valkor,
It seems that you have decided to finish what your master had planned to do with the paladine David. However, you decided to commit this act within the city of Sanctus. In Sanctus your "service" to your superiors is known as murder which is punishable. Therefore, I have no choice but to ask you to surrender yourself to the Sanctus government to be tried for David's murder . I will give you one week to give yourself up to me or a member of Sanctus. If you fail to turn yourself to our government, I will be forced to put out a warrant for your arrest. I hope you choose to do the right and proper thing Valkor. Thank you and Good Day.
Spawn
Sheriff of Sanctus

Spawn sealed the letter and handed it to a Sanctus messenger.
"Go to Azeroth and make sure Valkor gets this." said Spawn. The messenger nodded and left his office. Spawn then stood up and looked out his window at the view of the city. "Perhaps now...Justice will be served" Spawn said with a low tone. He then walked out of his office and recalled to a random location. _________________

After Valkor got in his armor, and thought about it all, [see "inner fire"] right as he head out the door he saw the messenger o'er the horizon.
A letter was handed to him, Valkor never did say thank you. He re-entered his trashed room as he read the letter.
"Seems I have an apointment for later."
Valkor understood the law system, especially that of sanctus' and he did desire a confrontation with old friends. |
