Let it be known that the Runic Knights will not declare fealty to Lord Rufus Oryan
It is obvious that history and past service to the virtues mean nothing to the current Regent. This Regent who now stands asking you to proclaim him your sovereign. Having disbanded the Cabinet and loyalist guilds with the intent of hand choosing his loyalist is a bold move towards a despotic form of government. To acknowledge this false governing body, formerly known as the Regency, is to accept the demise of the bastion of Virtue and Light it once was. This Regent has acted in complete disregard for the Regency Constitution viewing it’s laws and creeds with contempt . The Runic Knights denounce this farce and no longer recognize it as a viable governing body promoting the Virtues. We withdraw any and all pledges to this Regent.
All should mourn the death of the Virtuous Regency that once existed as a force of Light and Virtue.

|
Roland walked about the Isle of Serpents Hold. It was nay unusual for him to give the places in which Rufus frequented a ‘once over’, and mayhaps he had scouted upon this island at the proper instant. His horse trotted to the opening where many loyalists would enter later that night, and upon the large table in the meeting room, he collected the note from a Lilyth Noir. His eyes narrowed as he stuffed the parchment into his backpack. As He rode off a bit, gathering himself at an outpost upon the isle, and fastened the parchment to a pigeon’s foot. As he let it go into the air, “Get this to Lord Rufus…”
While Rufus sat in Blackthorne’s castle, a small gray bird entered through the window, settling just before Rufus at his desk. He removed the parchment from the bird’s leg, and read it over quickly. He took in a deep breath and readied his quill and ink, for he would scribe a letter to Lady Noir with the intention of truthful feelings of her remarks.
Lady Lilyth Noir,
In coming to the decision of a reaffirmation of Loyalities, I was certain that some, whom doubted or would nay support their regent entirely, would remove themselves from the Regency with that decision. Though I pledge not that a single loyalist be only conscious of my wordings and ideals, but moreso what the Regency stands for. Its spirit, and the persons and ideals whom make it up. To imagine a Regency that is nay for the people; one where the people are nay allowed a voice in a government and institution they have crafted themselves, is a thought I am not allowed. So as your missive moves me, though I should simply allow your decree to be accepted, I can nay hold my tounge. I ask you, Challenge me, debate with Light; darkness; and me on virtue; right and wrong positive and negative. I ask that you bring into the light how this action has removed this government from the foundation upon which it was built, The Virtues. Explain to me how in an attempt to purge and create a government filled with truthful, active individuals and organizations I have fell short of the dream of those that declare themselves loyal to the Regency and the Virtues of Lord British. I plan nay a despotic ploy, I wish not to rule as a King to a voiceless people. If they wished such, they would elect and choose their King. But I worry not for your wording, I only worry for your stance on change, and the ideals that craft a nation of beings whom are allowed to adapt and correct the things necessary within all they are a part of. It is you who are so wrapped in ones on personal processes and ignorance that you shant take a stab at cleanliness, and that of a new beginning.
Slurs and wordings you have thrown for months, have been disregarded and dismissed, but for you to call folly upon an act of rebirth and an attempt at change, I cannot agree upon. Still I ask…challenge me. Scatter missives about the people; scholarly debates…do as you wish. You are allowed your ideals, and your service as well as your twice over stray from the Regency will be noted. Be well upon the path you choose.
Truely fight to see what you wish changed, changed...

After receiving the missive from Lord Rufus, Lilyth hastily responded. "Late again, They will never let me live it down." she muttered
M’Lord Rufus,
I find myself a bit short on time but your missive deserved a response before our hunting trip. I do thank you for your offer though it has come far too late to affect the views of myself and the Runic Knights. As you said, I have often voiced my displeasure with the direction of your Regency. The time to discuss and debate would have been then. Time for us to discuss the Virtues and the Regency is well passed. The dismissal of the cabinet and loyalist effectively disbanded the Regency itself. Perhaps a vote should be held on who the Regent is as well as who the loyalist are. Maybe all no matter their status should reapply. *laughs a bit* There are few motives one could surmise after taking the Justicars power as your own that you have a wanton lust for individual power. If that is not your goal then time will show that you took the correct actions. I wish you well in your endeavor to change the Regency, you are thus far succeeding it has never been bereft of loyalists.
Maybe at some later date we might have a discussion on the Virtues, Light and dark, the Regency’s history and Constitution I would be happy to oblige, as one individual to another over an ale.
Respectfully,
Lady Lilyth Noir
