Zirazinn stood in the kitchen doorframe listening to the collection of servants as they pleaded for her help at a distressing predicament that had developed.

"The Lady will not move. She just sits there with her head in all those books stacked up all over the table."
"We cannot serve the noon meal to our Lord's guests if there is no table to serve them on. Cook went to Lady Ditto directly about this, but she just will not move. And the Lord will be arriving soon."

The calm stance Zirazinn gave as she nodded was belied only by the slight grind of her teeth. She turned to walk into the dinning hall where she found Lady Ditto just as the servants had said.
Piles upon piles of books and weathered documents. Old tomes and small notebooks scattered helter skelter around the young woman while she read and wrote furiously, seemingly oblivious to anything around her. This was just as Zirazinn had seen her this morning and surmised that Ditto had been up all night as well. The dinning hall had been turned into a chaotic library overnight.
Perhaps serving Lord Armunn his breakfast in his room had been a miscalculation on her part. He easily could have handled this directly then when he found he couldn't eat until his wife was moved. Her thoughts were distracted when Ditto tossed one of the books into a pile on the floor behind her, mingled with various other books that had somehow displeased her. Some even recently scorched as if merely tossing them hadn't been enough punishment.
Curious to see what subject had her Lady so obsessed this day, Zirazinn walked over and picked up the book Ditto had just thrown and read the title. ' Overcoming the Dominion of Darkness '. Zirazinn raised a brow and skimmed over the titles in the languages she could read, although more than half were foreign or runic in nature. ' Manifesto of Demonology ', 'Ritual of the Beast'....and many more.

Zirazinn stood over Ditto, "My Lady, may I ask a question of you?"
"Nau." Ditto responded without looking up from her reading.
Ignoring the response, the governess continued, "Lady Ditto, just what are you doing?"
Ditto glanced up for half a second. "Just some light reading" And then turned back to her book when she added, "Now go away and let me finish".

Perplexed and insulted by Ditto's dismissal of her, Zirazinn turned on her heel sharply and left the room to walk into the kitchen where the servants were waiting. The old governess raised her hand matter-of-factly and said, "This is a matter between the Lord and Lady Armunn. If he inquires why he is not being fed, then I suggest you point him to Lady Armunn directly. Let his wrath fall on the shoulders of the source of the problem. Continue to cook the meals. Just don't serve them."
With that, Zirazinn left the kitchen just as they heard the stable boy call out Lord Armunn's arrival while dashing to tend his duties. The cook quickly turned to check on something baking and the other servants scattered to make themselves scarce. Instead of the normal hussle & bussle of noontime at the Armunn Keep, barely a soul or sound seemed to be present this day.

Up in his study he can smell the food from below. It smelled good but he was thinking on something as he played with the chess piece on the board that signified Rufus. Slowly twirling it around in his clawish hands while absent mindedly staring into space.

He had grown slightly bigger, and the red in his eyes had become slightly more noticible. He even had a sharper touch to his teeth simular to that of the smaller version of fangs he grows as he transforms into daemon form. Furious and puzzled he was about the stolen chest that Poet was keeping safe for him, that caused more perminant change, as once again his anger swirled within him.

Now this...

He looked down at the Regent's proclimation that had been brought to him by dark order members still roaming the streets of Nejel'm. Still there but fewer, keeping in ...guarding the queen.

Looking back at the chess piece.

"Becareful Rufus. I am not your enemy...do not become one."

He let go of the chess piece and ran a clawed finger from the piece to the Island, slicing a line in the paper. Replacing the chess piece to it's location, he stood up from the desk.

As he did, his eyes rested on the city of Umbra. Slowly putting on his gloves, he stared at it. "First it was your ...poor treatment of my wife. Then the harrasment of the "lesser" order to our troops. Now the harrasment of one of my allies... The last seemed to be the last straw and so my ally declared war. how unfortunate that you didn't realize that they were apart of the regulators. For it now seems that you have more trouble then bargained for."

Turning swiftly he walked out of the door then locked it. Upon walking downstairs into the dinning room, did he see that instead of the food he smelled from above on the table, there was many books spread all over and Ditto reading one of them.

Too occupied with reading and probably thinking I was yet another servant. I walked over to one of the books and then tossed it on the ground after reading the title. Looking towards Ditto.

"I seriously doubt you will find anything in these. After all, the books that I did find on it regarding my particular daemon were in that damn chest. As well as locations for more information. Who knows, you might find something at that temple on fire Island. Or, in the dungeon on Hythloth. Or if you can find that chest...It's best to leave it be."

Ditto looked up from her reading with a sad and yet frustrated and angry face before saying "Nau." Then more determidly, she returned to her reading.

"I need to check out a few things myself. See how fairs Sanctus..."
