Dan was born within the small town of Skara Brae, where he was named after his grandfather, whom fought bravely through many battles. His father, whom none knew is name, was an Elf, and all that was known of him was his green hair, and his love for Dan's mother. When he was told of his mother's pregnancy, he mysteriously disappeared and was never heard from again. About 3 years later his mother found a human man and they were married and had a daughter.

Throughout his younger years, Dan was picked on by the other children for having pointy ears, and for his odd green hair. Most of the time he would simply stay indoors where he would play with his half-sister Danie.
His step-father however, did not approve of a half-breed living in the quarters, and by the time Dan reached his 13th year, he would have to move out.

And so it came to pass, and at Dan's 13th birthday he had gathered his things and moved out of his home. He began to wonder the streets, and talk to the bartenders and friendly people at the Taverns. Dan's mother had given him 1,000 gold pieces for a start to make it on his own, and Dan was very grateful for it. After about 2 weeks on his own, he began to wonder about within the wilderness outside of Skara Brae.

One night however, Dan found himself in a bit of trouble. He had been spotted by a brigand, and kidnapped and taken to their camp. As they discussed what they would do to him, a woman rushed within the camp and slaughtered all of the brigands. She was strong, and wielded her axe like no other. She saved Dan, and took him into her home. Her name was Velvet, and she adopted Dan into her new, growing Order.

Later to be known as the Order of the Praetorian Guard, Dan was trained in the art of fencing, and soon learned how to defend himself. When she thought he was ready, her and the other Praetorians would take him out hunting. He learned much of the world, and made many good friends within the Order.

However, the pleasant times had to come to an end, and by the time Dan had reached his 18th year, he decided that he had to leave the Order due to turmoil within the ranks. He left the Praetorians, then set off and perfected his skills. He joined other guilds, and made other friends as well. One fateful day though, just outside the Hanses Hostel, Dan was approached by 3 members of the Dark Awakening. They tried to command Dan to move out of their way, but Dan refused, and oddly enough a man found this a tad impressive (at least thats what Dan thought). That man's name was Arlin.

Arlin invited Dan for a drink within the Hostel, and of course Dan accepted. They got to talking, and soon Dan was asked if he would like to join the Army. He accepted, and was given his uniform and a bright badge. For a good few months, he fought for the Army and followed them to Yew. Eventually, he was promoted to Corporal, then Sergeant, and finally a Tactician. However, as time went on, the discipline and orderly manner of the Army grew agrivating, and one evening he decided to leave their ranks.

With the knowledge of a fun-loving tavern in the realm, he decided to go there and live with Silent Poet and the rest of the "Traveling Minstrels". They were kind, and to this day he still lives with them. Watching...Resting...and waiting for any new events to spark his interest.
