Blind Eye report issues #1: Comparison, Order of Sanctus vs The Dark Order.

Hail all, this is Leshok Majere with the first bi-weekly Blind Eye report, bring you information we have observed during this half of the month. This issue is going to cover the differences between two of the biggest and most influencial guilds in our realm: The Order of Sanctus, The project of Talon Skyfire, and the Dark Order, creation of Tarothin Armunn.

Now if you ask either of these two guilds what they have in common, both are quite likely to get angry and tell you they are nothing alike. Yet these two guilds are like the ying and the yang to one another. So I ask myself, what do they have in common? Well for one both are headed by men whom started as nothing but warriors and have thus earned their mens respect through trials at arms, not to mention one is newly married while the other is due to be married within the month. Both guilds are militant, and orderly, forcing harsh restrictions upon the actions of their men, and both willing to strike out at any whom threaten their way of life. Both guilds have taken great strides to create their own towns with closely placed buildings and well defined boundaries. So far having a hard time seeing why these two are so different? Well now we will cover the differences.

The Order of Sanctus have pledged their lives to the way of the virtues, and the name of things good. They have a host of paladins, follow to the definitions of the Virtues so defined by Lord Brithish, and ban the use of necromancy within their lands. Meanwhile, the Dark order only follows two virtues: honor and valor, and are other wise willing to defend their way of life by any means they can. To them the use of necromancy, and dark powers are a way of life, and thus they are branded evil. So lets recap, we have the Order of Sanctus a strict, good, virtue following guild, and we have the Dark Order, a strict, evil guild that lives by honor and valor.

These two guilds often find themselves in conflict, and I ask you why? is it because of their different views of the virtues? the classic struggle of good vs evil? I think neither. As the old saying goes "you hate those you are most like" I believe these two guilds are so much alike, they each feel their presence threatened by another so much like them, that they could be replaced? maybe not, but let me ask you this: if you barged into either guild's base and slapped either guild leader in the face, would their reaction be any different from one another?

In conclusion: good? evil? its all perspective, maybe this world isn't big enough for two major power orders, I'll leave that thought to you all, and until next issue, keep your ears and eyes open folks, you never know whats going to happen.

The dark order influential? HA!! Maybe in cove where they took over and are now very strict on taxing us dry. Influential my Arse.

*Tarothin clicks his teeth together in a biting motion*

*glances at the paper with little interest in the Adder* What?? We are like Sanctus?? *mumbles to herself* Well if you want to be nitpicky about it I suppose, but for being all "good" I sure don't see it in them...*places the paper back on the table for others to read...*
