Sarah muses over the chain of events and smiles. "Seems I have ruffled someone's feathers," she says quietly as she looks out her window to the sea.

It was only last week that she stood up against the unwarrented take-over attempt from the Dark Awakening. Her protests gave the Yew council time to find the new location of the meeting and put some order into things.

At that meeting the Dark Awakening made it known to all present that they would not continue to push for new elections or involvement in the Yew government. Sighing Sarah gets up and goes outside onto her balacony. Taking a deep breath she calms herself.

Tilting her head slightly she reflects....now only a week later they appear at the Yew Council meeting. The one called Kotare, brings forth the agenda for new elections then he proceeds to go a step further and nominates someone. A newly returned man who is called Solidus. A total stranger to Sarah.

Feeling the nights chill upon the breeze Sarah returns to her study and reflects upon these events. How quickly the winds of change flutter with humans. They are so impatient for power.

Was she wrong to nominate RedWind? Shaking her head in answer, she realizes that RedWind has been active in Yew consistantly for a long time. He was a voice within the Regency for that territory and the General of the armies for the Regent. Long time accomplishments not lightly handed out to just anyone.

But by his own admission this Solidus stated that he had just recently returned to the realm. What could he possible know of recent events or political ties? Could he be a mere puppet for the Dark Awakening? Perhaps....and only time will tell.

I hope the rumor of his plotting along with the Dark Awakening and Isilmea the elven queen, to have me kill and take over my throne will prove false.. But hearing it from so many different sorces makes Sarah shiver and pull herself deeper into the plush chair. Power..if only...

Hearing the extra guards shuffle outside she can only hope that General Nazralte and her own commander have taken up enough security to protect her family's throne. If only she could be assured protection at her Yew house as well as at the Palace. Sarah taps her chin with her slender finger, a visit from Lady Anna to her home there would end her bickering tongue and lay to rest her vile rumors. Shrugging Sarah realizes that simple gesture of hospitality must be put off until things become more clear.
