House Hol'anah

And how the graceful fell from ecstasy.

I only wish I could write joyously of House Hol'Anah, the Elven House sent to the decadent facet of Malas in order to restore it's ever-dying life force. It is with great sorrow that I maintain record of those who lost sight of the stars.

House Hol'Anah was a diverse elven house, comprised of druids, diviners, magi, and even competent soldiers. Taking seat in northern malas, they began to rebuild the wretched facet riddled with the stuff of nightmarish abominations. Cleansing most of the northern continent, they took note of a city's foundations being set, this city was called Luna. As the elves were meant to do, House Hol'Anah aided and taught the humans who were to build this beacon of light and virtue in a land where all hope has faded in the gathering dust of evil.

It was here that House Hol'Anah learned of the shadowed corner of Malas. It was called Umbra, a city of foul necromancers shrouded by the perverse Corrupted Forest. House Hol'Anah saw Umbra as an obstacle that was meant to be shattered, and began to ready Luna for what would be known as "The War of the Wood".

Luna's forces assembled, and marched against Umbra alongside House Hol'Anah. Whilst Luna met Umbra head on, House Hol'Anah traversed the haunting Corrupted Forest. The Magi of House Hol'Anah had readied a ritual with the Druids to cleanse the forest of the taint, and were carefully guarded by adept warriors of the House.

All was in place to begin the cleansing, then like wolves in the night the fiendish forces of the forest struck out at House Hol'Anah. The rotting dead and infernal alike lashed out at the gathered elves, yet the gathering of the damned fell one by one. With order restored, House Hol'Anah prepared to commence the ritual once more without interruption. However, the Corrupted Forest refused to abide by elven agenda.

The very essence of the forest made itself manifest in a howling, black mass of a green cloud. The green cloud swirled about House Hol'Anah, forcing them to choke on it's venomous fumes. And how House Hol'Anah tried to flee, yet they had been so fatigued by the Corrupted Forest that they could manage no escape. When the green cloud lifted it's veil from House Hol'Anah, it revealed a foul shape to the elves. House Hol'Anah had skin that had lost all hue, much like their once noble manes of hair that so delicately framed their soft, blue faces. The males had eyes of a soft yellow, whilst the females had eyes of a deep red.

Much else in refference to House Hol'Anah has been lost. Though we are certain they still walk the lands, we do not know in what capacity. For once, the Heartwood Scholars believe that some knowledge is best left a mystery.
