I am going to cut off your toe. She said it quietly and without much feeling. The man struggled against the chains but to no avail. Why would you do that?he said. Shrugging she said No reason....

Producing a dagger from her belt she kneeled down before him. Staring at his foot she removed his boot and with a quick motion sliced off his toe the bone making a cracking sound as the blade went cleanly thru it. She looked up to check that his blindfold was still firmly in place. He had not made a sound yet but was writhing in agony. Soon he began to moan. She stared down at the blood that began gushing from the open wound.

A myriad of flashing images sprung before her eyes and she convulsed as the horror of her dream returned. Blood was everywhere running down the walls, spreading under the door, instruments of death lay scattered on the floor. She was choking on the smell and blood spreading up her dress growing every closer to her pale skin.

A strange music began playing in the distance slowly breaking the prison of her daydream. Looking up at him she picked up the toe laying on the floor and stared at it, pressing it against the gaping wound it sealed back to its original form. His moaning stopped.

That was pointless wasn’t it? I cut off your toe only to replace it. I wonder why I did it. The man’s voice came to her completely baffled, Look, I dont know who you are but really if you let me go now we can just forget this ever happened... She shook her head emphatically no no we can never forget.

Taking the dagger once more in her hand she cut off a bit of his hair. She realized soon enough that she had gotten to close, he grabbed her with his chained arms clawing and grasping her. She struggled back but not before he wrestled a piece of green hair from her scalp. Looking at him quietly she nodded. I suppose its an even trade. A horse whinnied off in the distance and she looked about fearfully. I have a job to complete she said grimly, walking once more towards the man.

Wisteria awoke in the darkness her heart pounding. Pulling the covers tightly around her she could hear the shrieks of a man in the back of her head and a fear nagged at her. Where was this man, she had to find him she was certain he was dying. Tears rolling down her face she wondered whether it was simply a dream or a vision haunting her. Clutching her blanket she shuddered and looked down at her clenched hand. It not only held a blanket but a lock of hair, jaggedly cut from someone's head. She shrieked leaping from her bed and rushing to the mirror. She stared at her red hair her breath coming in short quick gasps. Shaking her head she stood baffled. She was sure the woman in the dream had had green hair..
