Cat had been doing guard duty lately . Ashlyn, Scribble and Cat had been bodyguards for Baron Sid for his meetings of late.

Today Cat thought to take a break and enjoy a Faire being held at the Luna Arena. She had offered to help out in the crafters booth and spent some time repairing armor using her skill as a seamstress. Someone had shouted that the joust was about to start so she climbed into the stands along side Tatianna and Darkwing to watch and cheer. During the day Devil had also showed up at the Faire and had even brought her cookies when the vendor had said there were none. He also sat with Cat to watch the joust.
When Cat and Devil had stood talking , Cat had noticed a man with long red hair standing close and watching her. She knew she should know him but his name wouldnt come to mind.
As the joust proceeded the red haired man came to stand close to her . He threw something into her lap and said in a menacing tone'" Give this to Vahn Roughnight. Tell him it is whats left of his family, or should I say his...mother." Cat looked down into her lap and to her horror it was a human skull. She looked up and the man was gone. Tatianna asked her if she were alright and she nodded her head in shock.
Cat took some cloth from her pack and wrapped the skull up . She looked around not knowing what to do.
After the Faire had ended Cat went home and put the wrapped skull in a safe place. She thought to throw it out but couldnt do that , the skull was once a loved one to Vahn. She sat and thought of what to do and finally took out a scroll and began to write:

Dear Vahn,

I need to talk to ya as soon as ya can . I dun want to explain anythin in a letter. Its very important that I talk to ya , its about your family. Let me know when ya can meet me

After the messenger had left Cat sat at a table in her room trying to remember the name of the red haired man.. closing her eyes she pictured him standing outside of Vahn's house...she looked up and whispered to herself .......

Upon the messanger reaching the large tower two sentries with spears barred the door from the meesanger entering. They wore color's he didnt seem to recognize. Upon ttheir black surcoat lay a white Maltese cross.

One of the sentries spoke up.

"Lord Roughnight wishes not to be disturbed. You will leave the letter with us."

Leaving the letter with the sentries he took one look back at the large tower as he walked away. Straining his eye's all he could see would seemed like a dozen armored figures being trailed behind some others who looked to be carrying cross bows entering the large tower.
