Feeling tired after the meeting with her ministers Sarah goes into the library. Relaxing before the fire in the book-lined room her eyes scan over the books taking her mind off matters of State and into a daydream.

There was Rufus sailing on the Queen's Scooner commanding the helm, smiling back at her. A warm glow deep within her grows then slowly begins to fade as the light of her dream dims. Sighing softly to herself she looks over the papers that lay still upon her lap. Tapping back into the feeling she had while dreaming she knows her husband is well and alive. That their love still binds them and their connection is just as strong as if he was laying beside her now.

With renewed confidence Sarah focuses on the papers in her lap. Correspondence from fellow concern rulers regarding Rufus's departure, some demanding attention others just wishing her strength in this time of loneliness.

At the meeting there was a brief discussion about her missing husband and speculations at who would replace him as Regent. But she assured her council that Rufus is well and will return when he was ready. All were in agreement and motions were set to continue on until his return.

The agenda also dealt with the movement of elves away from human population. Sarah was concerned by the isolationist attitude of her kind and wanted to know more about it. Lord Kith advised her to seek out knowledge in Rivendell. He explained how Rivendell held much knowledge not only of elves but of other races, living and dead. She acknowledged his council and made plans to ride there first light three days hence.

Another topic was of Yew. A heated debate was exchanged when the elections were brought up. Sarah leaned back in her chair and listened while they bantered their outrage and opinions back and forth. Her body felt weak and tired from the strain of it all. As she half listened to charges of fraud and danger her mind made a mental chart of how often she has felt tired or weak, that her stomach reacted to many of her favorite foods lately, and that whenever her mind drifted to thoughts of her husband a warm glow in the pit of her belly grew. Strange but not alarming, loneliness was tricking her mind and body it would seem. If it continued Sarah silently pledged to seek out the Nujel'm Royal healers for a check up.

When the room had fallen silent and the hotness of the topic had cooled Sarah mentioned the need to grow closer to Moonglow. Perhaps a dinner or a ball in honor of something could be arranged to promote the close relationship between the two nations. Sarah was feeling unprotected since Rufus left and wanted assurances that her Uncle was still willing to provide stablity to her Empire. A meeting between General Nazralte and Sarah would be arranged for the morrow to discuss some event befitting the two island states.

Lastly the council with Sarah's approval decided to put off the envoys to the other rulers within the realm. Too much confusion and movement was occurring presently. All were in agreement to fortify the Empire from within before reaching out to others. But trade and diplomatic relations will need to be forged soon.

Quickly the meeting ended, thanking them all for their aid Sarah now found herself surrounded by books. Cherished items of her husband which made her feel his presence even stronger. Feeling the closeness that never has lasped take over her, she shifts in the large chair and begins to read of the Oryan history.

Rufus made his way through Nujel’m’s palace at a graceful pace. He was greeted by all there with wide eyes and open hearts. Oh how he missed being upon those shores, and his sabbatical would nay make that trip any easier. Before making his way to a tavern to sit amongst the people once more before leaving, and mayhaps tend to some paper work, Rufus handed a Parchment, wrapped in gold ribbon to a trusted tailor within the Palace walls, “Be sure that she gets this…”

My love,

I miss your loving eyes and grasp so. We are only seas apart most oft, but to send you a letter would remind you of how I long to be about you. With our most recent unification, I can do nothing other than think of the possibilities that grow with our relationship. The thoughts, and eternal love that can exist between two beings is forever something that lingers in my mind. But alas, being as I am, I will forever be amidst two worlds. To be for my people, and love you unconditionally all at once will be quite a task. But one I am willing to die over if need be. To see you smile or simply “be”, brightens my days.

Some time ago, I was reminded of purpose, reason, and life itself. To escape these things would have been so simple; So easy. To escape these things would have nay turned me into less a man, but less a being. With the reminders I have grown to understand true love with sacrifices, and understand the confusions associated with decisions as well. To understand unified souls and peoples is a task in it self, but one I have become accustomed to, no doubt. Tis you I point the finger of blame at for that. It does not make me unhappy, for it is one of the things that fuel me in my days, and my last thought of my nights. So even when we are apart briefly, I wish that thou will remember that you are eternally in my thoughts and my heart. To forget you would be to lose myself. To nay hold on to my queen would renounce my citizenship within the Isle of Nujel’m, and to nay hold to my peoples hearts, would defile that which I have grown to love…. and that is individuals that exist about us all. But only one of them can be my wife. With all the wordings in this parchment, I hope I have not led you astray, but twas simply to say….

I love you

I think none can truly understand that when I notice you experience the simplest pleasures of existence, I become wrapped in indulging and almost heavenly thoughts. Thoughts and desirable illusions and visions of Princes, and Princesses all that bear our name, bare our features, and simply bare portions of ourselves. In your movements, I do not see a physically beautiful entity move across a field of golden sand, or a pathway amongst grassy plains. I notice a bountiful, illustrious spirit moving amongst various Hues and aura about its being. I notice an enticing intellectual, a sensual, soft, being, amongst a sea of Royalty and immense responsibility. Oh how the beauty of your soul sends my mental state into a series of conundrums. Know that while I drift from you physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally, I am bound and forever drawn to you. Forever connected, and simply…

I love you

At times, I dream of a moment regarding our reflections and our whispers intertwined in seas of amber. I imagine and predict that our unification last lovinglingy and unbesmirched in the eyes of all that bare witness to the grand unity that is marriage and love. As a prophet, I often see that which lies ahead, and the idea of a smaller being crafted in both our essences arises most oft, and above all else. To pull myself away from that idea or possibility would pull me from my sanity, and humanity. Elven blood that does flow in me speaks out to your soul, and that which we have created a shell for, if that be so. In moments that seem like lifetimes, I close my eyes to mutter wordings that I pray reach your spirit’s acceptance, “Elen sila lumenn omentilmo, Mela en’ coiamin. A’maelamin, Amin naa tualle ar’ Cormamin niuve tenna’ ta elea lle au’… Tenna’ san’, Amin mela lle ar’ Vanya sulie, Lirimaer.

Yours truly,

Rufus Oryan
