Annawen sat down at her desk and pulled out her red feathered pen, she was angry both at Master Tai, whom she had slowly began to respect and at herself for not being more watchful. After dipping it into the ink she looked to her newborn son then began to write, her words seeming to flow from her hand and onto the paper.

M’lady Regent,

I am writing to you to clear up a few things, first off the pact the Otori made with Sanctus has nothing to do with the Pheonix Alliance. Yes its true we do a lot of banking in Zento but are not and I repeat are not a part of the Otori’s pact with Sanctus. I myself was outraged of this when I got word of it, we have decided to remain neutral in the matter for it does not concern us. We are a diplomatic guild whose main goal is to help the young and protect the weak.

My respect for Master Tai has slowly began to fade and it is my hopes to keep the Pheonix Alliance which consists of three guilds, my husband’s guild The Dragon Samurai Clan, Lord William’s guild The Lion Knights and Lord Cookie’s guild Free out of any pact he makes with anyone. There are a few more things I wish to bring up to you and I will do that in a follow up letter, I do not wish to burden you with so many things at once during this terrible time in your life.

As she sealed the letter she looked towards the door and met her husband’s gaze,” I hope this letter will clear a few things up love…but if it does not…we may need to pull ourselves from Zento permantly…,”she said as she handed the letter to the messager along with a pouch of gold,” make sure this reaches the Lady Regent in Serpant’s Hold…,” she said as he nodded then bowed and made his way outside.
