"Report to the Royal Court Concerning the Claims of Treefellow Attacks
by High Wizard Teraptus, Paladin of Q. Concordia

I have visited the area in question (specified by Lord Pontifex Bailos Myrdra's edict) on three occasions within the past week.

On the first visit, I walked among the Treefellows in a non-hostile manner and none gave any indication of aggressiveness toward me.

I did notice a large number of filled water barrels located north of a small pond. Upon drinking the water in some of them, I noted a certain bitter taste but it had no noticeable effect upon me. I took samples of the water in the barrels and from the pond for testing. So far nothing untoward has been discovered by any tests I have made. If there had been any tampering with the Treefellows' water supply (for, on my observations I did note that they drank from both the barrels and from the pond), it is occurred before any residual evidence could be uncovered.

I did meet two persons, one Lord Dyn and also an Eva Breckenridge who accosted me, saying they were representatives of Lord Bailos on patrol in the area, and that they had just recently been attacked by Treefellows. They became very inquisitive about my presence and threatened me, that if the area became more "troubled" I would be to blame. I got the distinct impression they were not at all concerned with discovering the reason for the Treefellows' erratic and unnatural behavior (as claimed) but rather wanting to discourage anyone else from investigating it as well. After some mild threats against me, which were totally unfounded, I left and returned to the meeting of the Council.

It is my belief that the claims made against the Treefellows is fabricated for political reasons. I am not concerned with land claims, but as a member who reveres life in all forms, I am worried that the Treefellows are made to be scapegoats in the plot. It is my wish that the Council dismiss the claims made by Lord Bailos against the Treefellows and certainly refuse to take any action against them itself.

Signed,
Teraptus"
