After her meeting with Lord Thrax she sat at the desk in her room looking at the lovely bonzai he gave her. It was a lovely gift and unexpected. Before she got too distracted, she looked at the book he gave her.
Gently she placed it on the table and ran her hand across it's cover. She felt an odd sense of doom touching this book it wa sas if evil enveloped it. With a "sigh" she opened it and began to read the pages. The actions described among them were horrifying. Her heart sank. She knew they had limited time to get rid of Oggarath.
Lord Porthos asked her at the regency meeting to hire someone trained in the art of stealthing to help resolve issues. Too mnay thoughts raced in her head. Kel, Thrax, Jode's spirit roaming though her head and now this.
Shaking her head, she rose from her desk and readied herself for bed. In the morning she would go to work. Sneding out dipatches to find who she needed and researching a way to save Jode's spirit. It was the only way she would be able to think clearly enough to focus on this task.
As she got under her covers she stared at the book and restlessly fell asleep...
