It is with great pleasure that I write to you asking that you allow those of us who oversee affairs in Papua, Trammel, to confer upon you and your courtiers gifts in token of our esteem for you and appreciation for your efforts in ridding us of the Ophidians. It is known to all of us that many of you fought long, well, and hard, spilling your own blood, in defense of the town. In addition, you continue to aid the town by sending aid in all forms to relieve suffering. This debt can never be repaid except in kind, and it is our promise that, should a fate ever befall your realms, we shall not delay in sending aid.

I pray that such a time may never come upon you, but, until it does, I ask that you accept a simple gift from one of our own people, something hand-made yet most elegant, to wear with pride in the knowledge of our eternal gratefulness to you.

If you hold a regular meeting, and you are agreeable to this, I ask that you do the following to facilitate it:

1. Provide a place and time of your choosing whereby we may make this presentation.

2. Provide a list of those on your council, or within your leadership so that the gifts may be easily prepared. I ask that you limit this to ten people, however.

3. Some of the items can be that which is preferred by one or another race. If you will indicate whether members are elf or human, that will enable us to bestow a gift highly prized to their own race. This is not necessary, however, but it would allow the gift to be more valued and personal.

Send word to me at my estate in Thraxstadt which is a few leagues east of Yew, Felucca. Please do so at your earliest.

Lord Fong was heading back from the Lyceaum after checking on the progress of the magery students there he was quiet impressed by the efforts being put forth by the young mages. A Pigeon fluttered down and landed on the road infront of him, seeing th letter tied to its leg he removed it and read through it quickly.
Fong had sent many a hunting party deep into the heart of Papua, attempting to clear the area around the portal to allow an easier acsess to the lost lands. Fong continued walking until he reached Council Chambers where he stopped and penned a Response to Thraxanduril

Greetings and Tidings to You From the Moonglow Town Council. We have recieved your offer of gifts for actions in Papua durring the invasion of the Ohidians. We thank you for you show of kindness but we must decline. The Council feels that it was as much our duty to help protect Papua as it was your own. Being so closely connected we felt that if not pushed back the invasion could have quickly spread into Moonglow. For this reason we cannot accept your offer , we thank you agian Lord Thrazanduirl and hope Papua has bounced back from the invasion, if any further aid is needed such as supplies please let me know.

"Momma is it news about poppa?,"Sashi asked as she finished the letter and looked to him,"no son...go play alright...but don't go near the bluff..,"she said as he nodded and ran off.

Standing up she moved inside and sat down at the table,her hand reaching over for her quill and begins to write.

M'lord Thrax,

It is with great pleasure that we hear from you and hope that all is well within those lands as well as your own...as for the gifts we will not be able to accept them for we feel it was our duty to help.

Sealing the letter she stood up and moved outside,"Guard..,"she whispered softly then smiled as one of them appeared before her,"yes m'lady..?,"the guard whispered then smiled as Annawen passed over the letter,"see this is delivered to Lord Thrax please..,"she said as the guard vanished just as quickly as they had appeared.

Alessandra looked over from the window where she had been standing looking out over the island as a messenger came in with a letter. She thanked him with a soft smile and sat at her desk to read over the letter. After reading the letter she pulled out a parchment and began writing...


Lord Thraxanduril,

I trust that this letter finds you well. I hope that Papua is finding peace after such a struggle they had with the Ophidians. While we hope that the same compassion would be bestowed upon us in a time of need, The Legion of Justice thanks you for your offer of gifts. If the timing would please thee, we would be honored to invite you and your guests to Nujel'm this Thursday, at eight o'clock by the eastern moon. I know that the Royal Court of Luna also meets on Thursday's, so I hope that this is a good time for all involved. The Legion of Justice council and leadership is currently the following: Lord Vaen Swiftar, Lord Mave Gerhart, Lord Sirius Atwright, Lord Beowulf Thormear, Lord Asher Tyven, Lord William Rackham and myself. If this time works well for thee, I will make sure that dinner is prepared for all in the formal dining room of the castle. I look forward to the opportunity for our governments to become better aquainted.

Alessandra sprinkled some fine powder over the ink and when it had dried she folded it and sealed it with the official seal of the Legion of Justice. She called for a messenger and sent it with instructions to be delivered to Lord Thraxanduril's estate in Yew.

Baron Thrax sent the courier back with the following message:

"Lady Alessandra,

Greetings!

I thank you for your graciousness in receiving this offer. While it bears the stamp of an official proposal, it is, in reality, a novel idea whose origin lies in the heart of a simple native girl of Papua. As there have been several rejections of this offer, and even more non-replies, I am thrilled now to tell her that there is one more group who is willing to partake of her gifts.

I simply need to know of what race each member of your retinue is, whether elf or human (as she fashions the item according to that and not gender). Please respond with that information as soon as possible.

As for the time to meet, I, personally, will be hard pressed to make such an early meeting, but will send her on with the gifts. She will likely travel by ship (as she is superstitious about magic means of travel), so she may be a bit late. Please be patient for she shall appear in Nujel'm (Trammel I take it?) near the appointed time.

By the way, her name is Poppy and she will be wearing dark green clothing. And, as a sidenote, her last visit to Nujel'm was not pleasant: she was made to feel very small at a trial held there. I am certain you will receive her kindly and make this visit a better memory.

I am sorry to hear that you will not be attending, but you have my guarantee that Miss Poppy will be recieved as a most welcome and honored guest to Nujel'm. I am very sorry that her previous visit to Nujel'm was not an enjoyable one, but I certainly hope that this time will be much different for her. I will be sure that there is an escort awaiting her arrival at the docks.

For the race of the council, all besides myself are human. I am eagerly looking forward to seeing what is being crafted. I am always so amazed by the craftmanship that is put into items.
