Upon hearing of the Duchess Mollys' ailment I offered my assistance, as a physician, to determine or treat her malady. The statements made by her court Wizard Shihan, were correlated by statements made by the Duke, at the time of the examination. Several questions regarding the symptoms themselves, made no impression as to reveal the cause of such a malady. Further questioning revealed a use of foreign herbs, imbibed as an herbal tea to ease or cure her symptoms, only heightened my anxiety. Since the immigration of the elves into the lands, is fairly recent, there is much to learn of their physiology, and biology. My point being, many seemingly harmless roots and herbs to a human, may have detrimental effects upon the elvenkind. More investigation into this, and further research and study, may yield some answers and substantial evidence regarding this. As of now, this is mere speculation, and the fact remains the Duchess is in dire peril. Upon examination of the Duchess, her pallor was similar to that of men found frozen to death in the artic regions, a sickly bluish tint. Touching her hand, it is easily detectable, that her temperature is far below that of a corpse. The Duke stated that those whom had examined her prior to my arrival, when listening to her heartbeat, that a crisp sound, like icecicles breaking was heard. I discerned no such sound myself, and silently dismissed that notion, as fancy. Further questioning, again revealed a recent attack by a drow, who may have poisoned or cursed her somehow. Again I asked more questions as to the injuries sustained in said attack, and ruled out the possibility of a poisoned weapon. Since the Duke said he had examined her and saw no apparent signs of her skin being broken, where a poisonous substance could have been infused. At this time all evidence supports that whatever the cause may be, a treatment is far from available. I shall continue looking into this matter, further studying and research at the Lycaeum in Moonglow is in order, as from my experience, this malady is as of yet unknown to me.
