[Merci d'Rue]

Merci d'Rue started her life as a normal child, she had a family she loved, her older sister was often ill and mentally not quite right, so Merci spent much of her time caring for her. Merci grew fast, a tall girl, strong and had the makings of an excellent fighter. Around her neck, given to her by her grandmother she wore a pendant of blackrock.

At the age of 16, Merci's family was slaughtered by mysterious forces and she fled in terror, she was later captured, and twisted into a new slave for their purposes. She was later captured and made into a servant of these murderers but to this day has not much memory of the entire incident. She was powered by the same pendant, a mindless slave, following the will of her creator, until such time that he died.

At this point a new era dawned for Merci , she woke from her mindless servitude part of her soul returned to her and found herself alone. She was not sad of this, she was a wholly new creature. Her hair, now blue, instead of its once golden locks of blonde she set out to find her place. After traveling and strengthening for some time she made her home in Umbra where she joined their military and was tutored by its warmaster and warlords. She became a strong fighter, she quickly caught on, and was surprised to find that she had a new gift, Cryomancy to aid in her kills. Battle and bloodshed became everything to Merci, and she loyally followed Ceinwyn as one of her most trusted Warlords.

Risen from the bowels of Undeath her Creator returned from death brought back by unnatural forces, he was surprised to come upon his creation, and both found that he could still control her completely. Out of Loyalty to Umbra, and in a sense of self preservation, she became a Lycan, hoping it would overcome that which The Creator instilled within her for his control.

The transformation was arduous, she was not a whole woman and as she became Lycanthrope she gained new strength driving her into a formidable fighter. The Creators words had now become no more than an urge that she fought off and they came to an uneasy truce. Merci devoted herself to Umbra and was rewarded for it, taking Ceinwyns offer of a role of Co-Matriarch.

Myrddin, Ceinwyns son fast became Merci's good friend, she and he worked hard together building skills. Willow and Malikhia to became close friends of hers and they all four learned to gether and grew within Umbra. As time would have it, it was reached a point where it was tiime for these four to set out and create a sister entity to Umbra. They traveled across the lands letting destiny be their guide until they came to the Forsaken North, the northern mountains of Malas. There they built a great kingdom, called Stonegate. Merci became a visionary for this Kingdom and Oracle of sorts and they turned their eyes on Sosaria. Finding weakness there they decided to see to their ultimate beleif. Only the strong survive.
