She finished her meeting with Lady Tika, still tired from the events of the past few days. Her mind was still reeling with the news of Lord Spawn. She had known him a long time and now he was gone. Her aid was asked for however and this was not the time for pondering the "what if's?". She climbed the stairs of Thraxstadt Manor and made her way to her room. Opening her vanity, she pulled out a dark box and opened it, inside were the two tomes she removed from the Palace to help Thrax and now she would need them again to help another.

She remembered the spell that was required, but now she needed to find it. She lit the candelabra in her room and changed into her kimono for the evening. Before she got settled to start her research she called for a servant to bring her tea and checked on the progress of the elixir for Skurj. She would need to add the final ingredients later on today and write down the instructions for him. A knock came to her door and she let the servant in with her tea. She smiled handing him the dried fruits he liked from the kitchen at the Palace. He smiled and left her to her studies, closing the door behind him.

She sat back down and opened the old book. Carefully she flipped through the pages reading the ancient hieroglyphics. Sipping her tea periodically and rubbing her eyes in between. The hour grew very late. These translations took time and time was not something she had a lot of to work with. Her eyes were becoming heavy with fatigue when she was focusing on another page. She blinked when some of the words in the title jumped out at her. She sat more upright and moved closer tot he tome. Smiling, she knew she found the right one.

Carefully she took a piece of ribbon and lay it flat between the pages to mark it. When she woke up she would get the needed ingredients. Before she could rest she opened the box and placed the tomes back within it and carefully locked it. The put it back in the vanity. She stood and stretched, made her way to her bed and slid beneath the soft covers hoping to get enough rest for the day ahead.
