The past few weeks seemed to be a blur for Audrina. She gave birth to a child, was thrown in jail, and then began her paranoia of the M'reals. Quickly she began to lose her mind. The paranoia seemed to take over her every thoughts. She spent much of her time reflecting on what she should do and eventually decided that she must stage her death. Her reasoning was quite crazy, but she was convinced the M'reals were out to kill her and she needed to remain alive in order to protect Sanctus in the future from the M'reals.
The wheels began to turn and Audrina, unware to anyone including her husband, hired an orc to help her to make her death look realistic. Her plan had worked, she had convinced everyone that she was dead. From the scene Audrina left and made her way to Umbra, no one would find her there. Unfortunately, the orc that helped her had hit her across the face with his mace causing a large wound and unknown at the time permanent damage to her brain. She stumbled into a nearby house and quickly fell asleep.
A throbbing head ache awoke Audrina from her sleep. She sat straight up looking around the room she had fallen asleep in, unfamiliar with her enviroment. She wondered where she was and slowly ran her fingers over a large open wound on her face. Slowly she rolled out of the bed and wandered outdoors into the dreary darkness of what could only be Umbra. Her head was pounding and her heart was racing unaware of the events that had occurred the night before, better yet unaware of any events that had happened before that morning.
A moongate opened and she slowly made her way into it, only to find herself as what she would later learn to be the Moonglow Town Council headquarters. Audrina searched around and quickly bumped into Fong, the Mayor of Moonglow. Fong, knowing who Audrina was, seemed a bit confused. She explained the state she was in and he asked her if she knew who she was. Audrina picked up her head and realized while answering Fong, "I have no idea who I am."
After a long talk with Fong, she joined the ranks of Moonglow. She was accepted by everyone there, but was still very confused. She only knew that her name was Audrina, because that is what Fong had told her, and that on her finger was a wedding ring. |

The Moonglow Festival was just around the corner and Audrina marched in line as she had been ordered to do, without even thinking twice. Her mind kept stumbling over the answers Matron Ceinwyn had given her the evening before to her questions. "...you faked your death...you have a child...a husband...the M'reals....Sanctus...." All of the words were now blurring together and Audrina had no idea what to think of them.
Why would she fake her own death and leave behind a newborn child and a husband she loved? But then to counter that question, How could she love a man that would trick her and then push her into a jail cell? Her husband that she is told she once adored, seems more like a lunatic.
Once again her mind drifted to her conversation with Ceinwyn. "...I can help you to recover your memory..." Audrina then touched her forehead and squinted in pain as a quick ache ran through out her head. She was tired and was sick of thinking.
Audrina returned to the hostel in Moonglow and plopped down into the bed. She shut her eyes and tried to fall asleep, but her mind kept asking, "Do I want to know my past?". |

It was late in the night and most all of the duels in front of the Moonglow Headquarters had finished. Audrina stood in silence leaning against the wooden fence, occassionaly raising a brow towards Ceinwyn. Her silence was brought on by the internal battle that was going on within. One part of her needed to know and the other part of her wanted to never again revisit her past.
She examined Ceinwyn once more and then made a snap decision.
"I must know."
Ceinwyn turned to her, removed her gloves, and proceeded to aide Audrina in regaining her memory. Many warned Audrina of the tricks Ceinwyn could play on her, but no longer did she care. She had to know, no matter the risk.
Audrina closed her eyes and stood there for some time, waiting for something to happen. At once a flow of memories began to flash in her mind. Childhood...Her journey to Sanctus...The first time she met Davaran...The virtues....Training...Quests...Promotions...Drills...A wedding...Pregnancy...The birth of Letitia (her daughter)...Paranoia...The M'reals...Blackrock...Umbra...The orc....faking her death.
She fell to her knees and tried to piece all of the memories together. What virtues would allow for these actions? What sort of husband would throw his wife into a jail cell? She stood in awe as she shook her head. Her eyes filled with anger as she clenched her fists.
"Virtue!, What Virtue?! Hipocricy! Lies! Conspiracy! That is all that it was!"
Her voice trailed off as she yelled into the open. After some time she calmed herself down and began to talk with Ceinwyn about all the thoughts that were running through her head.
"Light blinds one, does it not?" said Ceinwyn.
Audrina thought a moment and quickly agreed. She declared herself blinded by the light of the virtues. She was angry with what she had learned and would only use that to feul her fighting while in battle against The Order of Sanctus and The M'reals. |

Most of Audrina's time lately had been spent thinking or fighting. She was past four of the stages of grief. Denial had past almost immediately, Anger hindered for quite sometime, Bargaining was the worst to overcome, along with depression.
Acceptance. Oh yes, Acceptance. That is where she has been stuck now. Audrina could not seem to accept all that has happened. She lost her husband, her child, her home, her friends, but the most strange thing was that she did not even care much about that. She could not bare the thought of how blind she was by the way of the virtues. At the time it seemed so resonable, so pure, so honest, but now looking back it was none of those things.
From Audrina's perspective the virtues were only put in place to ease the minds of others. To reassure people that they were "good", when in fact they are merely just uneducated. Following the virtues can only lead to distruction.
The more Audrina thought, the more outraged she was.
OK. So she lied, she is not even close to getting past all of the steps of grief.
She only thought that soon none of this will even matter. The darkness is slowly closing in around her and when that day comes, destroying the light will be the only thing of importance to her. |
