Spawn sat in his study pondering over the recent events at the Royal Court of Light in some disappointment. Shaking his head slightly, he took out a piece of parchment along with a pen and ink. He let out a small sigh and began to write on the parchment.

I hope all is well with you and your husband. We have been through much over the years. I consider you one of my good friends. However, I feel that the decisions in the Royal Court of Light in recent weeks have been poorly thought out. I also do feel that Royal Court does not benefit myself or my house. Therefore, I hereby withdraw the House of Spawn's membership status from the court. I hope this news does not affect our friendship. I wish you and your court the best of luck in the future. Thank you for your attention.

After reading over what he wrote, Spawn sealed the letter and gave it to his servant. The servant nodded and headed toward the Royal Court of Light located in Luna. Spawn then walked upstairs to his sparring area to practice his fighting skills.

A messenger arrives, clad in the colors of the House of the Gauntlet and Luna. He hands you a parchment with the seal of the Grand Duchess.

Greetings Spawn,

All is well with Will and myself. Thank you for asking. It saddens me that you have chosen to make this move.

I will make the same statement I have made to the Regent and all the rest of the members of the Regency that have contacted me upon recieving their resignations.

I have read your resignation request and I will hold it for two weeks.

If at that time you have not communicated that you wish to discuss it or that you wish to resend it, then I will enter it into the records at the following Royal Court meeting. This I do in hopes that you will reconsider this hasty move.

I would like to point out that the Royal Court has always remained independent from the Regency and was only formed for the benefit of all that reside in Malas, to offer protection and comradery for its citizens and the innocent of Light in Luna. You need not be one or the other and can remain both. I offer you this opportunity to consider my words. This will give you a chance to think over what the effects it will have on the peoples of Sosaria. They are the ones that will be effected most.

This whole orchestrated move as I see it is a power play by the Regent to distance himself and his people from the Royal Court, though I see no reason for the need of this.

The Royal Court has never been a threat to the Regency in land holdings or exsistance. We are two independent governments which share some members. To my view it is like the foot telling the hand that it has no business slapping the mosquito that bites it because it might over take it in some manner, but without the foot, the hand can not walk or find what the body needs to survive and without the hand the body can not do it alone either. We are all part of a body of light that without cooperation we are playing right into the evils of this world of ours. While we bicker among ourselves we are devided, a wise man once said: A house devided against itself can not stand. There is much wisdom in that statement.

Take some time my friend and consider what you are doing. I will always be here to talk. You are family to me. We have always been close and could always talk. Meet with me and we can discuss this further.
