She lay in the lumpy bed in the Inn after her brief confrontation with the assumed pirate. Her latest orders from the Queen brought her to Serpent's Hold chasing another suspicious character and she almost had passage bartered till she was yanked away by Lord Gailan. She closed her eyes, remembering his lecture about her reckless behavior and how it could get her killed. Was she becoming that reckless? Then ruse worked well in Delucia with the Archon. They caught the Lycan perpetrators and brought order back.

She let out a soft "sigh" and stared at her armor piled in the corner. She wasn't ready to wear it again not yet. Going back to her youth had made her feel more empowered and free for a while. It was fun to dance in the Inn and let go for a bit. Everyone talked to her, the gold she made being her old self paid for her room for the week. Other than the few questions about an elf dressed in this manner, it was pleasant. A small smile crept upon her lips as she started to doze off, the events made her tired. The starlight illuminated the room with an ethereal glow and she drifted off...

"Lass, yer name." One of her rescuers kept asking. She barely understood common. She stared up with big eyes at him, shaking from the trauma. They we amid a large group of people in the camp and she had yet to speak. For the past days she began to feel more comfortable and attempted to answer.

"Nnnn....nnnn.....name?", she pointed to herself.

"Aye, lass. What do we call you.? He then pointed to himself, "I am named Priam."

She pointed to him with a frightened smile, and said, "Pri...am?"

He clapped and threw her some honey candy, "That's right." ,and then pointed to the other man that helped her. "He is Tobias."

Looking at Tobias, she had a harder time but managed it. "To...to...to..bi...as?"

"Good, good, you learn fast." The exchange went on back and forth going through words for various objects. She finally began to feel comfortable around her new found family.

She let out a deep breath and tried to say her name, "Tttt....Tenitae", she paused then tried to make out her last name, "Wwwyn...itas." She managed, pointing to her self.

The men tried to make sense of her words and tried repeating it back numerous times. They seemed so flustered and confused that all partied seemed to agree that Temptation Waits, was the closest they would get. She at so young an age didn't seem bothered with it and her name became what it is now. She made progress and even curled up on Priam's lap.

The next few years seemed a whirlwind of traveling and performing. She even sparred with the boys of the group with swords as she got bigger. Over time, she began to best a lot of them including their fathers. Priam decided she should be better schooled by fighters and rangers and in their next trip to Yew, it was arranged...

A scraping and metal noise at the door woke her. She reached for the knife she kept beneath her pillow as the door became slightly ajar. Barely letting out a breath she waited...

Jon finished loading his cargo and decided to sleep in the lavish accoutrements of The Black Crow. The noise as well as the mattress that felt as if it were stuffed with bricks and straw made for less that restful slumber. There would be no wine and wenches this night he thought as he cursed the crates of lettuce and cabbage that had to be in Zento. At least it would be good to see his crew again and it would give him another chance to try and find Sairon.

As he settled in, Jon’s mind replayed the events of the day. It seems some pretty woman wanted passage to any destination. An opportunity if ever there was. Her clothing indicated she came from money but her eyes indicated more. His mind raced between holding her for ransom and having a lover for the trip until he was rudely interrupted. A noble whom she referred to as Gailan started pestering her about her behavior and then without permission, boarded Jon’s ship and began questioning him. He asked of cargo, destination and an elf named Sylvan. Jon stayed calm and gave him nothing even though he worried when the elf’s name was brought up. When Gailan fond he wasn’t going to get any answers he went back to bothering the woman and dragged her off by the arm obviously upset. The whole scene haunted him and as he blew out his candle he muttered, “Another trap by the so called virtuous”.

In the dark she got up making no sound, the knife in hand. She stood behind the door to see a hand holding a candle emerge and then she pounced. The poor serving girl was scared half our of her wits. "I'm sorry", Temptation told her helping the girl pick up the basket she held and gather the fruit that fell out of it. "Don't be coming in here like that again girl.

The girl looked up ad her still shaken nodding in acknowledgement. She slowly got back to her feet never taking her eyes from the elf that stood before her. "Yer sleepin' gown m'lady."

Lady Temptation looked down and realized the strawberries stained the gown she slept in. She walked over to the armoire and retrieved a second one causing. She quickly changed, not realizing the kercief she tucked in the sleeve fell out landing on the mussed sheets. The Girl took the stained gown and left quickly. She watched her go and noticed a small note on the ground. Slowly, she picked it up and read it.

M'Lady,

Beware the Capn' you seek. Ye know not who ye be triflin' with. There be eyes watchin' ye.

After reading it and examining it, there were not marks to identify the author. She did not recognize the handwriting. Thinking tp herself, perhaps the tavernfolk whould shed light on it. Looks like another night of dancing would be taking up her evening.
