Friends,

I write you now in hope. We must confess our sins and prepare to reconcile with what fate awaits us.

We have stood for centuries with the Shield of Valor and Devotion in front of us. Long have we held against the onslaught of the gaping maw of destruction and the end of things but we have overstayed and overstretched ourselves. The shield we have clung so tightly to now withers and rusts falling further and further out of repair.

The will of man is strong, but the flesh is weak. We have our armor and our faith but we have not courage nor conviction to stand at the Mouth of Hell and await what judgement is fit for us.

For our ignorance and our petty pride, the Fates have sent great foes against us. I tell you now, that the final hammerstroke will soon fall. The enemies of man are not simply peoples we can cast down. No, they are far worse. They are inspired by the thought of our demise. They are fed diligently by Hand of Destiny, growing ever stronger and in our further pride we caused it to grow, unchecked.

Man desires survival. Fate desires our rebirth. Only by casting off our worldly desires and trappings of flesh can we return to the good grace in which we belong. We must throw off our kingdoms, leave peacefully together, and commune, one with nature, until the passing of this storm. A great force will come to scour us all. We will only lose life fighting the natural order.

Let it take us. Let it tear down our kingdoms and temples and statues. Let it wipe clean the count of our crimes and forgive us with the divine light that only the natural order can. Return to your faith before it is too late. Let it save us and make yourself ready and worthy to start anew.
