Beowulf pressed his steel doors open to his home, he was exhausted from a day of constant battle. The dark wisps had begin pressing harder than ever on this day and the aging man could feel the aching pains from it. The Moonglow soldiers had been fighting on rotations, someone was always at the Lycuem.
Tamers, mages, warriors from all over Sosaria had gathered to help protect Moonglow. Each day strange faces would strap on shields and charge along side MTC in the midst of the evil ranks. Beowulf couldn't help feel a slight slap in the face, he had noticed the lack of help from any of his allies. He knew in the end, Moonglow could do it alone, along with the help of strangers. He knew as well, that his soldiers laid down their lives to protect Sanctus and nothing was returned. He hadn't been approached by anyone from Sanctus or any of their many allies, in an offer of help. Beowulf shrugged slightly and poured a pitcher of water off his head. The sudden shock of cold sent a chill up his spine.
The Moonglow soldiers gathered together and set up tables with food and drinks for the many soldiers. The medics and guards were working around the clock to help each soldier. The hordes of the Dark Wisps grew and grew each day and Moonglow pressed harder and harder each day.
Beowulf could feel victory in his grasp, he hoped. |
