Alizia was walking along the streets of Magincia. Thaddus, the head healer, of the clinic had assured her that all was going well. They had but maybe three patients, all of them fairing well and possibly able to go home by the morrow. She took this opportunity to just take in the city, she has called home for so long. She stopped at the bakery and got a muffin to munch while she continued to walk admiring the people of this proud city. There was something that was gnawing at her, but she just believed it to be the upcoming tavern evening. She was going to be inviting many from different sides. Magincia wished to remain neutral, which was fine with her. Her patron virtue, Compassion, allowed her to be as neutral as possible in most aspects of agruements. Her hand lightly rested upon just above her heart, where the mark could nearly be felt pulsating. A soft smile curled about her lips as she recalled the evening that Compassion had touched her, giving her its mark to carry out for the rest of her days. Before she realized it, she found herself entering the hall, and nearly running into her brother Isk.
"Oh dear, I am so sorry. I guess I was in my own thoughts I wasn't paying attention."
Isk looked upon her through that mask, that frightened her slightly first when she met him, but she had grown accustomed and accepted it.
"Is there anything the matter?"
He asked, with a concern in his tone. Perhaps even abit of hopefullness that there was something the matter..if it dealt with her husband Eldred. She shook her head and smiles.
"Nay, just thinking of the tavern evening."
Isk nodded and inquired about the invites. She handed the orginal invite to him to see if he liked it. She was sure that he would, because she had already went to the scribe to make them. Isk gazed over it and nodded his approval. Walter, in the meantime, had come by to speak to Isk. Alizia let the two men speak, as she watched Isk. He was acting odd as if he did not feel well. She knew if she asked, he would deny it. She watched as he made his way to one of the statues. A delicate brow raised as he nonchantanly propped himself against it. It would not seem out of the normal to anyone else watching Isk, but to Ali she knew. She, of course, asked if all was alright. Isk denied, just as she knew he would. She took note of the tickle of blood that stood out upon that white mask. Her concern turn into worry. She also knew he needed to be seated, but would not if she demanded it. Perhaps it was something to due with showing weakness or such. So, she requested him to sit in a manner she knew he would.
"Isk, could we take this conversation elsewhere. Perhaps where we could sit? I fear I am not fully up to par from the birth."
Isk, perhaps knowing Ali all to well as well, agreed and suggested they go to the garden. All three adjorned to the gardens, where Ali and Isk sat, whilst Walter stood. She made some healing ointment and placed it upon a bandage. She handed it to Isk.
"Put this on your nose."
She said while he took the bandage. Still speaking with Walter, Isk placed the bandage upon the nose of the mask. Ali rolled her eyes and sighed.
"Isk, your other nose."
She watched as he slipped the bandage up under his mask, not revealing the secret he is keeping behind that mask. Her thoughts were mostly on Isk. His shakiness the blood..his stamina seemed abit weakened. Was it the Utopia drug? What was making her brother so ill. She was barely listening to the conversation he was having with Walter. The words Darkness is coming...something about an evil chest and how Isk wanted it. Walter agreed with the mention of prying it out of cold corspe hand of the owner. Before she knew it, Isk and Walter both were excusing themselves. She bid them both a fare evening and watched as they parted ways. She sighed rubbing her temples slightly before recalling back home. There Eldred was at his desk, looking over parchments. Perhaps trying to get a feel of what he would be returning to, in Sanctus. He got up as he saw her moving towards the desk. A smile upon his lips like no other, as he took her into his arms planting a kiss sweetly upon her lips. Her kiss was abit distant, but still held the love she holds for him. A concerned brow raised along his forehead. He inquired what the matter was. Ali was not ready to say much to him, but assured him that it was nothing to do with herself, but a friend. Eldred nodded as he knew Ali would tell him in due time. He made his way up to their room, while Ali moved into the chair at the desk. She removed her hat and cape and sat there. Evil..evil chest. Where did she hear that before? She then recalled when she was first with the Humanis. Mark had demanded one of the men to take a helm of evil from Molly. Mark had informed them that Isk had become obessed over this artifact. Was there a whole armor outfit made as the same as that helm? She would have to talk to Molly as soon as possible. But tonight was not the night. Her thoughts were more so upon her family. Most of all, Isk and what it was that seemed to be eating at him. Before she knew, the light of the candle had faded as the wax was melted all along the plate. She made her up the stairs and put on her nightgown. Eldred sitting up when she entered the room. He pulled back the sheets on her side of the bed.
"Ali, you look exhausted."
She smiles and climbed into bed. She leaned over kissing him softly. She informed him that she was, and that today was indeed a long day. He scolded her in a loving way about taking it easy. She nodded and cuddled up against him. It was somewhere between the I love you and you do too much, was when sleep won the battle, if one could even call it that.
