The evening of Sunday, May 6th 2007 was one to remember.

The Sanctus Invitational Tournament was a resounding success. High lords and ladies, as well as common folk from around the world, came to take part in or observe the festivites.

The champions proved their gallantry and mettle on the field of battle.

The joust was by far the most populated event, with many competitors engaging in the tilts. In the end, Lord Isk of Magincia unhorsed all comers in a fine display of horsemanship and lance skill. Magincia now holds the jousting trophy.

In the single combat category, Lord Asher Tyven proved once again that he is the terror of the battlefield and took the title of Single Combat Champion.

Lord Asher was also crowned champion of magery due to lack of participants. Near the end of the tournament, a hooded stranger sent forth his challenge, which Asher nobly accepted, stating that , "A title is meant to be defended." The battle between the two was by far the most impressive of the evening. The field was torn asunder and the ground shook at the sheer amount of arcane energies exchanged. The stranger, who revealed himself to be Dormack of Serpents Hold, finally emerged the victor and was named Champion of Magery.

The highlight of the evening was the melee. Over ten competitors squared off in the arena in a massive free for all. After several dizzing minutes of combat, only Prince Zarlox Skyfire and Squire Alastair Carter remained.

The two Sanctians fought hard and the match had to be called to Sudden Death. Alastair came out on top and was crowned Tournament Grand Champion.

However, the highest honor and biggest thanks goes out to Lady Ivory Wright of Sanctus, who invested weeks of her time into preparing the event itself, the prizes, and the arena. Thank you Ivory. Without you, the event wouldn't have been a success.

Joust Champion: Lord Isk, Magnate of Magincia

Single Combat (Dueling) Champion: Lord Asher Tyven

Magery Champion: Dormack of Serpent's Hold.

Tournament Grand Champion (Melee): Squire Alastair Carter of Sanctus
