|
Hey everyone,
I know that many of you out here are rather avid fans of fantasy and/or sci-fi novels, stories, and so forth. I am, too, and I think that helps explain much of our collective engagement with UO.
I wanted to request the help of anybody who is interested in reading a fantasy story that I have been writing and offering ideas, critiques, criticism, feedback, etc. My goal is to ultimately make it into a book and send it off to a publisher. It is still all first draft material, but it is polished enough that I feel comfortable with at least sharing it with people in order to recieve feedback on it.
The story is loosely based around some of the stories and experiences that my character has had, along with a few other people's characters who have given me permission to use them. The story is not based within UO, but in a setting of my own creation and just some of the themes have been influenced by RP in this community.
Currently the story is about 90 single-spaced essay-length pages (approx. 200ish standard novel pages) so it is a bit of a read, but reading the entire thing is certainly not required. I would be more than happy to accept feedback on any parts of it at all.
I also have another story I have been writing that is more in the sci-fi genre instead of fantasy. If anybody would rather read that, I would be more than thrilled to accept feedback on that one as well. I have the same similar goal of ultimately sending it off to be published once finished. As of now that story is about 240 double-spaced essay-length pages (approx. also 200ish standard novel pages) and is also in its first draft stage.
So if anybody wishes to help out and have some extra summer reading and enjoy fantasy and/or sci-fi, please feel free to send me a private message. I would be honored for any help and feedback. I will also include anybody's name who wishes so in a special thanks section of each respective book, as well as in my annual collection of short stories and works-in-progress that I have published.
Thanks again, everyone. _________________ Galathan

Send me this one:
The story is loosely based around some of the stories and experiences that my character has had, along with a few other people's characters who have given me permission to use them. The story is not based within UO, but in a setting of my own creation and just some of the themes have been influenced by RP in this community.
I'll try to read it, I usually get bored with reading though and find something else to do.

I'd love to read them, but I cannot open MS word or anything related to that format. Adobe works for me, though. So if you want, please send to Deathwisp@hotmail.com. |

I forgot to mention that the files are saved in RTF format so they generally can be opened with microsoft word, or just plain notepad or wordpad. The only difference is that if opened in notepad or whatever you wont get the page breaks. Also, please be specific about which story you'd like to read as there are two.
And thank you everyone _________________ Galathan
