It was the evening designated for the election of the new mayor of Moonglow. X'eros decided not to attend this, as it would give Samson added ammunition against his beloved Doireann during the election. Besides, the twin offspring, his and Doireann's son and daughter, were far too young to attend such a crowd. How hard could it be for a warrior such as him to look after a pair of two year olds? Little did he know he was in for a big surprise.

He left them alone to play in their room, while he decided to concentrate his meditation in the art of reverie.

He sat down after removing his upper armor, exposing his muscular chest and arms. He put his armor off to the side against a wall. His war axe and shield, he carried over to where he would sit. As he sat down, he placed his war axe and shield on either side of him, in case there was an intruder. He folded his legs and lightly placed his forearms on his knees, palms extended and facing up. He closed his eyes and began to concentrate.

As he began to drift into reverie, there was a disturbance that interupted his concentration. "Dop it brudder!! Weave me awone!!!", shouted his daughter Ciara.

X'eros tried to concentrate again, trying harder to reach his state of reverie. Suddenly, it was briefly interupted by his son Korith who shouted, "owwww, dat hort sisder!!".

X'eros growled slightly as he clenched his eyes tight, as several books hit the ground on the floor above him. Then something glass broke, probably a window. He would just let Doireann deal with the mess when she came back.

"Come on, concentrate." He said to himself as he tried to force himself into deep reverie. He started to not notice when his daughter said in a soft voice, "Im sowwy brudder, how bout a hug?"

A few minutes went by and soft grunting noises could be heard from upstairs.. but not by X'eros. He started to succeed in maintaining a soft
reverie. Moments went by, then suddenly, loud screaming began. This completely broke his concentration. And his tempor was lost. He then abruptly stood up and grabbed his war axe. He hurried up stairs.

As he opened the door, war axe in hand, he glared into the room. Both toddlers were embracing each other, strained looks on their faces, both of them crying. They seemed to continue tightening their grip on each other. They were so focused into their hugging battle, that they did not notice their angry father as he strode up to them.

He managed to grab both their ankles with one hand and lifted them. Both started to realize this as they both turned to the source of the new preasure on their ankles. Both were slightly startled as their upside down view as they were being raized in the air. Their view passed by the black battle leggings, the rippled torso, a mucular arm that was fiercely holding a battle axe, the chest of a powerful warrior, and finally, a tense and very angry face of their drow father, his eyes glaring red as he snarled at his two children.

"SHUT UP YOU LITTLE BRATS!!! OR I WILL GIVE YOU SOMETHING TO CRY ABOUT!!!" X'eros shouted directly into their faces, causing both children to quiver with fear, a wimper to both their voices. Both of them became very quiet, beggining to suck their thumbs as they looked down at the battle axe, being clenched intensely in a strong hand.

When it seemed they got the message, X'eros walked over to the rug and without any sense of gentleness, dropped them on their heads. It was not a far drop, so both children only had bruises. Both children scurried away accross the rugg under their beds.

X'eros stood there, watching as both children from either side of the room peered their small faces from under the beds, both still with their thumbs in their mouths.
"Both of you need to learn to behave like warriors... " He said as he slung his war axe against his shoulder, and left the room.

This was their father.
