Lee sat in the woods close to the lycaeum, thinking of recent events. She thought of the troublesome Rhiannon who had arrived in town. She thought of Daz's nightmare, and she thought of her friends in the Town Council. Things had felt strange lately. There seemed to be a wedge in the guild and it weighed heavily on her heart. There had been an election for a mayor in which two very honorable candidate had raced. There were some things about each of the candidate that she like, and some things that she did not. Ultimately, she had cast her vote based on the candidates position on the town's protection. Lee favored a militia over an army as she was weary of the dictatorships that armies could produce. "Citizen involovement," she affirmed to herself aloud.

However, the new mayor had married an Umbran the night before. This made Lee very uncomfortable, as she did not approve of the barbaric ways of the Umbrans. Once, she had seen some it's members crucify a man to a tree. She grimaced. The thought of allying with this group made her stomach turn.

At the wedding, she had seen some of her friends openly display their disapproval of the marriage. She felt sorry for Mayor Dorieann because she knew it could not have been an easy choice for her. However, Lee also understood the objections of her friends. Lee brought her hands to her head and massaged her temples. She had been doing this a lot lately.
