Raedyn's smiles grew ever wider as he further integrated himself in to the Moonglowian culture that bustled around him. He had come here days ago, but he felt right at home, and even had a small clinic erected just west of town. Back to his roots he went, beginning humble once again as he was when he went to the Paladins and met Tallin, Mia, and LaBelle.

Raedyn knew he had always hungered for power, but in the past years his hunger had grown dangerous. His misguided ploys for control were pathetic at best, and though he may have gained the alliance of a king or two, Raedyn knew in his heart that he was not this scheming being that he had become.

Ultimately, he decided upon returning to his roots, almost literally. He had begun documenting the local flora and fauna of Moonglow already, looking for herbal supplements and medicines to store, prepare, and mix in to fantastic remedies. He always did enjoy herbalism most, anyways. He was posing as a mere healer, though the Mayor knew of his past with the Paladins, few knew of his adeptness at Light Magic. It wasn't something one flaunted, in any case.

Already he had spoken to the zookeeper, gaining access to certain specimens kept within those wonderous walls. The swamp exhibit held a special excitement for Raedyn. The pure wonder of the very plant life becoming intelligent and mobile sent chills through his body. And then there was the Wyvern, whose stinger may hold some fantastic remedy to the most refined of Nightshade concoctions. And certainly the Changeling. Shapeshifting, built in to the creature's being. Surely there may be some way to harvest the creature's abilities through samples or secretions, and harness it for human use.

Ah, the wonders that lie before him. Raedyn sat alone in his small home, upstairs from the little clinic he had just furnished. Only two small beds, nothing like the Hall, but it would do for the small work he would have here. Hopefully another plague did not strike. Raedyn reminisced about the Hall for a moment, the faces of Lady Mia and Lady LaBelle flashing through his mind in an instant, though the latter did linger a second longer. She would be happy now, in the new Hall, closer to what she loved.

Raedyn made his way over to the tall elven bed he had purchased from the person who sold him the home, settling down in to it. Beleraphon stamped idly outside, tied to a tree and gazing hungrily at a mongbat. As the sun dipped below the horizon, Raedyn pondered upon his path of succession, the one hidden from all eyes except his...

Humble healer and Cleric,
Zealous Virtue Preacher,
Inquisitor and Crusader,
And back to Humble Healer.

How life did have it's twists and turns...
