Nightshade couldnt fathom as she sat in the corner, how Dethn could do this, everyone wanted to say it was brainwash, but she knew it was precise manipulation on a young impressionable boy. Surprisingly Myrddin protected his son, adamant that they must not behave to rashly. All was not black and white.
The hours grew long and to Shade they were an agony, as their last hope for Willow was fading, she hadnt moved, and Shade new she was dead, but as Toren had returned, could not even her daughter? She had a plan, and she prayed Ceinwyn would find the help she needed. Toren and Shade drifted to sleep as they sat in grief by Willows bedside.

Kaedance was curious as girls her age often were, she had heard a commotion at Blackrock keep and had hidden quietly amongst the shadows, sneaking quietly in to get a better view. What she saw there was a shock for her young self. Willow dead, and her parents shut away in the room with her refusing to leave. She advanced no further sitting down at Cears messy desk. She was unsure what to do? Did the others know of this? Perhaps she should go tell the other WIT members there had to be something they could do.
Hastily she rose, and as she did she tripped over Willows satchel someone had laid haphazardly down. Out of it rolled something that made tears stream down Kaede's face. She had to show this to Nyxy...

Ceinwyn was keeping a close eye on Nyxy, she feared for the safety of her grandaughter. So Nyxy was safely ensconced in the War temple. Yet instead of asleep, as she should be, she sat sobbing into her arms the grief of her sister's loss tearing at her young heart. She was happy to see Kaedance slide out of the shadows. Kaede, she sobbed, shes dead...
Kaede nodded the two girls hugging and crying sadly. I have something to cheer you up look! Nyxy stared at the object and reached her hand out to touch it. Wow that is so special! Thankyou for bringing it. Both the girls hands touching the object reverently.
Moments later they were gone, dissapeared, some unknown magic wisking them away.... _________________ Something is Wrong, I can still feel Existence... |

The Wratih's eyes glown with the fire of Jonathan's himself, the same fire burning, the same passion, the same goal, the same sight. He starred, from behind the veil of shadow and death, out as the girl approached. The wraith's tendrill's twitched, it's mass poised, concealed in plain view, the ghoulish form itched for it's quarry.
And just when it could barely contain itself, the nominal happened. The young man Dethn, or what of his seemingly injured mass could move, staggered toward Willow and she caught him in her arms. The hunter saw his chance and made his move.
It was over in seconds.
The wraith wailed in delight and glee at the newly stolen essence and before it had even informed him, Jonathan knew the deed was done.
"Good Work," he mused brightly at the prospect, "one step closer." His eyes blanked from the wraith's as it dissipated into shadow and began to scan his workshop. He had taken hold in the perfect place, Closer than Strathmore manor, more well guarded, and more resourceful. He was proud of himself, as always, with all happenings.
His connection to the lantern had been severed with the death of the doll.
But he knew this would weaken their stance, he knew Nightshade's will had just suffered slightly, and just enough for coincidence to take his side.
Coincidence was always one of those things you wanted on your side, it made everything easier, if not passible alltogether. He buisied himself around the workshop, hoping the wraith would return soon for it's next assignment, one he had planned out long before. But opportunity is primary due to it's singular and sedentary existance.
He made the right choice, and it phased him all the less at how many it effected, and how much suffering it caused. Each peice would slide into place with the right amount of force and finess, and he was beginning to see the timing.
And his eyes gazed as Dethn came into his sights. He patted the lad on the head.
"You have done well, my Heir." |
