"Willow, come to the war temple. Myr and I need you to do something" Nightshade said with her bird in tow. Her expression as serious as she had seen.
"Alright.....but whatever it is, I didn't do it!"
"Of course you did, if you didn't then you wouldn't be my daughter"
Willow laughed.
"Meet you there Willow? I'll be along shortly, go on without me" Shade asked her slightly worried.
"yeah sure"
Shade turned still looking over her shoulders at Willow. Willow turned and made her way to the war temple. What's wrong with her? Why she so worried? She must of had the doll. Is Myr still looking to toss me out of a window? Willow pondered this as she stepped inside the war temple.

"HEY!! I'm Here!!" Willow bellowed hoping to catch a glimpse of her siblings not training for once. She walked into the sitting room and saw Myrddin waiting.
"Heya what's up Myr? Shade said you wanted to talk to me?"
"Hello Willow, lets wait for your mother to explain"
Willow raised her eye brows "alriiight" She fought to keep the annoyance out of her voice. "Does this have to do with the doll?" She asked.
"Yes" Myrddin and Willow sat in silence. Minutes passed before Shade arrived.
"Come on Mimus" Nightshade called out to her bird. They turned toward her voice.
"Hello mother dearest" Willow said smirking.
Nightshade laughed and quickly transitioned back to somber. She put a hand on Myr's shoulder.
"Willow, I have taken the enchantment out of the doll. The blackrock that has been removed. But I fear that is not enough. The doll must be completely destroyed, by your hand as it was your wish it granted"
"Oh alright, is that all?" Willow said pulling out her Kryss.
"It's not that easy Willow," Myr said. Nightshade and Myrddin explained that the only way to destroy the doll was to drop it into the lava pits in the demon temple. "I assume you know where it is?" Willow nodded, she had been there a fair few times. "But do not go from Blackrock keep. Jonathan may be expecting you to leave from there. Take the mountains from the south towards Hythloth. Then straight up through the entrance. We are hoping the demons will distract disrupt him."

"yeah that and the dragons, I wouldn't mind seeing that old man run for his life" Willow said.
"I would like to see as well." He said.
"alright, well give me the doll and I'll be on my way"

Nightshade handed her the doll. "Willow take Mimus with you. He will alert me at the first sign of danger if anything goes wrong"

Great a babysiter

"alright, fine, Mimus come on lets go. I have another rune there that puts me right by the mountains" Myrddin nodded in approval. "be right back" Willow said grinning impishly

Willow pulled out her rune

Sanctum Viatas

She landed right in front of the entrance to the temple
Perfect! I just have to go in and drop the doll Willow thought. Just then her brother Dethn came running out of the temple almost looking as if death itself were chasing.
Not my little brother, you don't Willow said

Dium Prostra

No sooner than she spoke the words did a wraith come out and attack her. Despite her vulnerability she still swung with ferocity. She had the upper hand until her brother began to advance and attack her. With both blades reigning down on her and with her health still generating from her sacrifice, she didn't stand a chance. The wraith went for her bandaged arm and sliced the mirror out. He beamed at his triumph confidently throwing a conflagration potion at Willow. Engulfed in flames Willow fell to the ground, too weak to move. As the flames fell to the ground The wraith hovered above Willow's body. He reached inside her chest tentacles into her chest grasping her heart. He constricted his ethereal tentacle around her heart crushing it's chambers resitricting the blood flow.
Willow could do no more than lay there bleeding and fading.

"It is done master" Said the wraith just before recalling out.

Then she heard the sound of someone half limping half walking come up to her. He groaned and grunted. "you Jon's girl?" He asked her. He examined her for a while longer. He hefted her will all her might. They journeyed for a while, until reaching a cave. He laid her gently onto the cave floor, her essence still rapidly fading.

No sooner had he laid her down did Mimus come in followed by Nightshade, Toren and Dethn. The sight off Willow fading, charred and bleeding silenced them. Willow heard her name called from Everywhere, so close yet becoming farther and farther away.

Shade was threatening the man who brought Willow to the cave. They were yelling about the Strathmore's and how the man thought that Willow was Nightshade at first. He informed Shade that he followed the bird to her body. Willow couldn't comprehend anymore of what was being said. Their words seemed foreign to Willow. Willow continued to fade, the debris she laid upon was visible through her body. Toren quickly took off his gloves and cut his arm letting the blood drop and flow onto Willow. Despite his efforts the blood went right through her staining the ground.
"Shade, it's not....it's not working!" He yelled. Nightshade stopped yelling at the man. Nightshade cut herself in the same fashion but to the same avail.
"Lets take her to Blackrock. Can you carry her? In Ethereal form maybe?"
Willow felt it important to say,"Dethn....out of temple....hurt....I healed....Wraith hit me.....Dethn hit me..."
"Shh Willow save your strength"

Concentrated on the ether in his body and slowly became ethereal. He scooped up Willow into his arms. She laid limply in his arms as he carried her to Blackrock.

"Wraith squeezed my heart...can't regenerate..."
Toren gently laid Willow on top of the bed. "What was that M'Dear? Shade, she's trying to tell us what happened!!"
Willow slowly and painfully told them the bits and pieces that she could. Upon finding out that Dethn had attacked his own older sister Nightshade flew out of the room.

"Father" Willow whispered, "I'm sorry I won't see Xorinia with you"
Tears streamed down Toren's face, "Don't talk like that, you'll be fine!" Willow just looked at him and sighed. The pain in her chest would note cease. The only thing from keeping Willow from fading completely was the grief belonging to Toren and Nightshade, that filled the room. "Tell Vari and Ada that....I'll always be with them" Dethn appeared in the room scuffling his feet. Toren drew his sword and chased him out of Blackrock keep. Nightshade returned to Willow's side, replenishing her with fresh grief helping Willow hang on for just a moment more.
"Shade, Tell Myr....to Finish the training..."
"Tell him yourself! You're Stronger than this Willow, You'll be fine" Nightshade said tears sliding down her face. Toren came back in the room and sat on the foot of the bed. He reached out his ethereal hand and clasped Willow's into his. Willow's eyes fluttered and she let out one last long breath. Her little body stopped it's stirring and she faded even more. Her face slackened and her head drooped to the side. Toren reached for Willow's face and screamed and cried "WILLOW"
" NO NO NO NO NO, WILLOW NO!!!!!" Shade Screamed
The child born from their grief laid to rest upon the bed in Blackrock.

Toren sat, his head bowed over Willow's knees, feeling too heavy to lift. His eyes ached from the eve, but not so heavily as his heart. His hand grasped the lifeless one belonging to the young girl... his little girl.

He whispered to her nearly inaudibly all night, Shade staring at the two blankly from the floor, lost look on her face. Her face was stained red from the tears that flowed down her cheeks, her eyes puffy and bloodshot.

Oddly, their eyes met and they stared at one another a moment. Father and mother, over a lost child. They each knew the other's greif, they shared the same pain. Their eyes averted, life simply to real in their gaze, and desperately searched for anything else to oggle.

The minutes passed like hours, the hours like days. Every second ticked away with the impossible despair of an entire lifetime wasted. And, save the occassional sigh, all sound ceased. Though the two found no sleep that night...

The thought of his greatest hope for all whom he loved to be ebbing so close dug at his heart. His thoughts drifted selfully, he didn't wish her to go to peace. Not yet. And he was prepared to do anything for it to stop.
